5.0 out of 5 stars Power-packed!, 19 May 2014

I enjoyed it - there was a bit of a slow start, but once it had kicked in it just didn't let up. I have a tiny niggle about a handful of typos that I stumbled over, but the characters and the story were great - I actually finished it in a day; I couldn't put it down. :)

5.0 out of 5 stars Utterly compulsive reading!, 1 Dec 2013

I loved this book. It packs so much into its story lines. A damning indictment of the malaise of modern society, where bright, new initiative is frowned upon or even suppressed, if it goes against 'the norm' of the day. The book cuts no middle-ground - there is no being 'politically correct' anywhere. The hero may be considered right-wing by some, left-wing anarchist by others, but the plain truth is that he is someone with high ideals, and cannot accept second best. He knows exactly what roads he wants to travel, and if the rest of humanity cannot keep up - well, it's their loss. While pursuing his journey, the book lays out in detail the sad state of affairs that most countries of the world are in - politicians who try to please everyone, while lining their own pockets, and relgious leaders and dogma that wants to drag all societies back a few centuries, to the highlights of the Dark Ages.
An utterly compulsive read, I would recommend it - 10/10!

Letter To A Christian Nation
Letter To A Christian Nation

4.0 out of 5 stars A brilliant read, 29 Sep 2012

I have just finished Sam Harris's book, Letter to a Christian Nation. I found it a rare treat, and had to read it thoroughly. A brilliant set of discussion and answer details, all of which didn't so much as shoot religion down in flames as raise the point of 'you, if you are a believer, should get some help'. Top marks.
