BABYBJÖRN Spoon (2-Pack, Ocean Blue/Bright Red)
BABYBJÖRN Spoon (2-Pack, Ocean Blue/Bright Red)

5.0 out of 5 stars Best spoons for baby led weaning, 9 May 2014

Took ages to find some spoons that really little babies could use. Soft spoons are usually the type for adults to spoon feed babies, not for them to feed themselves. These spoons are easy to hold and easy to scoop food with - helps babies to even manage soup!

5.0 out of 5 stars Hang it on a lanyard around your neck!, 9 May 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
My second baby is now happily playing with this when we're out - I have a lanyard that I clip it to, then hang it around my neck. She can play with it when she's in the sling or sitting on my lap and the lanyard stops her from throwing it on the floor. She's six months and has been fiddling, rattling and gnawing on it for at least three months now.

4.0 out of 5 stars A bit repetitive but so helpful, 29 Jun. 2013

We bought this as we kept getting 'stuck in ruts' with our toddler - you know, when they refuse to do something or keep doing something naughty and eventually, in spite of your best intentions you end up losing your temper? Well since reading this book we've had a lot less of that - it's been so useful. And so useful at understanding some of his behaviour - and how to deal with difficult situations (like when he'd been really scared by something). I might read it again once my son is older too as it deals with kids up until early teens.

4.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant, 29 Jun. 2013

Fits securely. Handles are a great idea - makes our son feel safe. Could do with a slightly higher front section as you have to make sure the relevant bits are tucked down, but that's ok. We've got one by each toilet in the house now and take it away with us!

4.0 out of 5 stars Great!, 29 Jun. 2013

Really good CD in French and English. The French singing is mostly really clear and there's a songbook with it for anything you don't quite catch. We've been listening to it in the car, but it would make a good study aide too.

2.0 out of 5 stars Not as good as others in the series., 29 Jun. 2013

This book was missing a lot of good activities - especially things that are useful in mixed weather! For instance, the big animal park near St Ives is missing, as was a big pick-your-own farm we found that had a great restaurant and animals. There also isn't that much variety - we found it wasn't that helpful for a toddler as most of the activities were better for older children. It was also no help at telling you where to park - we were often left unsure of how to drive to access some of the beaches it recommended. Finally, it didn't tell us which beaches vanished at high tide - quite a nuisance indeed! We were very pleased we had wifi in our holiday cottage and could search on the internet for the info we needed! (Oh, and the map is awful - and how about a map of town centres?! Like St Ives. With some parking advice?!)

4.0 out of 5 stars Really comprehensive, 29 Jun. 2013

Great book - loads of things to do of all varieties. Could be improved by better attention to 'where to park' and perhaps including loos, but otherwise great.

1.0 out of 5 stars Easy to open. For the cat., 29 Jun. 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
My (not big or clever) cat broke into this within minutes of us putting the food down. The lid is secured just by the motor mechanism that opens it - no other latch, so it's really easy to force up. Rubbish. Really annoyed and disappointed.

5.0 out of 5 stars Such a lovely baby doll for my son, 1 Sept. 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Got this doll as my son (18 months) really wanted to take care of every (real) baby he came across, so I thought he (and the parents) might appreciate it if he had his own. This doll is so lovely - beautifully made and the size of a real small baby. It's nice and chunky and he has great fun dressing and undressing it - especially doing nappy changes. The doll is also anatomically correct, which we thought was a bonus as when you think about it, it's a bit odd giving a child a doll with bits missing! (And probably just an adult hang-up!) We also thought it could be helpful when we need to have conversations about the difference between boys and girls, potty training etc. For the moment it is just a lovely baby for him to take care of.

3.0 out of 5 stars Boring walk that was too long for a little one., 1 Sept. 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
We tried out one of the walks in this book on holiday - one that was supposed to be particularly easy and interesting and was close to where we were staying (the fleet behind Chesil Beach). We had with us one toddler (18 months) and a sling and one nearly four year old. Unfortunately the walk was quite long for a four year old and not very interesting. We were promised nice places to paddle and explore the fleet, but we couldn't really get down to it and where we could it was in places that were accumulating algae and scum. A large part of the walk was along the edge of a field, with most of the view obscured by a hedgerow. Even I was bored! Not surprisingly, the 18 month old went to sleep (in the sling, so fine) and the four year old threw a total wobbler. We had to cut the walk short and carry her most of the way up the long hill back to the village! Not massively impressed - there are a couple of other walks that sound interesting, so we might try again if we're back in Dorset in a few years' time!
