4.0 out of 5 stars Good, but does not pick dry stuff from nose, 11 Jun. 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Stuff in nose have to be liquid enough to be sucked out. Dry items won't come out. So, you need to first put some saline inside nose.

Also it would not suck out stuff that are kind of inside the nose.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good, but got one defective, 11 Jun. 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
It is pretty good at covering the car and even if you standing right outside the car, you can't see inside. But the thing that sticks to the glass has to be in perfect shape to work. But they do not come in proper round shape always.

3.0 out of 5 stars Device is fine, but getting baby to stay still is impossible, 11 Jun. 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
For accurate reading, baby needs to be still. Good luck with that. I think the device should have correction mechanism to compensate for continuous baby movements.

3.0 out of 5 stars Pretty good, no Mac support though, 11 Jun. 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
If you don't have a Windows PC, then you need to get one before you buy this product, because the real time view of the camera app works on Windows only.

Remember to fit it close to a window because you will need to adjust it.

The biggest con is: if your camera is recording your car parked on the street, it is too far away to record faces of thieves, in order to help police detect the person. I have a small terraced house, so my car isn't far away.

3.0 out of 5 stars Multiple movement confuses it, lamp burnt out within 7 days, 11 Jun. 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Every car moves by, even further away from my car parked on the street, triggers it. Then it stays for 3 minutes. By then another car would come. It kinda remains lit till 1 AM more or less continuously. It definitely needs to exclude moving cars.

Multiple approaching person confuses it. It should focus to the nearest one.

Lamp burnt out within 7 days.

The Big Bang Philosophy and God
The Big Bang Philosophy and God
by Caner Taslaman
Edition: Paperback

4.0 out of 5 stars Short, precise, informative book on many philosophical views on creation and the impact of Big Bang theory on them, 5 Jun. 2011
Small, precise and very informative. It's good to know how many views are out there and arguments supporting and against them. This book presents a compelling case for supporting Big Bang not just as a scientifically proven theory becoming a borderline fact but also it's impact on thousand years long debate on who created the universe, was it created or matter is eternal, how probable is it that there's a super universe where every possible universe is being created and we happen to be inside a universe where the precise value of 4 fundamental forces happen to be absolutely correct against billions of odds? Short book, heavy on language, not for the faint hearted. It could use an edition where the esoteric vocabulary has been greatly reduced.

ATOM TO ADAM - HOW, WHEN AND WHERE? IN THE LIGHT OF QURAN, BIBLE AND SCIENCE - A STUDY OF HUMAN ORIGIN
Price: £4.93

4.0 out of 5 stars very good content but very poor formattimg, 4 Feb. 2011
this book presents a compelling case to show that adam wa not some super intelligent being who was suddenly dropped from heaven but was evolved from early humanoids and due to a sudden genetic changed borned as a human with advanced brain and learned languagage-name of all things. very candid proposal. but the kindle format is distorted and hard to read and follow. get the book.

The Language of God: A Scientist Presents Evidence for Belief
The Language of God: A Scientist Presents Evidence for Belief
by Francis Collins
Edition: Paperback
Price: £8.99

4.0 out of 5 stars Good book, but not very convincing, 3 Jan. 2011
The book certainly has some very valuable content, but the book is too lengthy, full of history and the points aren't strongly presented. For ex, I would expect some convincing statistical probability analysis of human DNA having the right stuff without an intelligent designer in action. It wasn't presented clearly. Almost all the defense against atheists were quite weak and wasn't well backed with convincing logic and mathematical backing.
This is such a good book in terms of original content that I would highly encourage the author to consider publishing a new edition where the content is much streamlined, the book is shrinked down to at least 50% of the volume and each and every point made in support of a supernatural creator backed by statistical analysis and convincing philosophical logics. I believe someone with mathematics background and philosophy background should edit this book along with the author. This book can easily become the most valuable book to defend against atheists and agnostics.

The Grand Design: New Answers to the Ultimate Questions of Life
The Grand Design: New Answers to the Ultimate Questions of Life

1.0 out of 5 stars Little information, too much history, unconvincing presentation, 3 Jan. 2011
This was a really boring read. Too much history. Too little new information. If you have been watching Discovery channel for last couple of months, you have already seen and understood anything and everything this book has to offer. In fact the book does it really poorly to introduce all the amazing innovations we have seen in the theoretical physics and cosmology. Most shockingly, it ends with an idea that gravity created the whole universe and there was no intelligent design. If you are really proposing such a dramatic idea, at least put two or three chapters on these and enough convincing logic.

Quran: A Reformist Translation
Quran: A Reformist Translation
by Martha Schulte-Nafeh
Edition: Paperback
Price: £16.04

4.0 out of 5 stars Non-Muslims should read this translation only, none other, 20 Nov. 2010
It's a great translation for non-Muslims. Muslims might find it discomforting to read the translation because of the mention of God instead of Allah, but I believe it actually makes it easier for non-Muslims to read it without having the bad taste in mouth from so many traditional Arabic words found in other traditional translations.

The only caveat is the choice of English words. I believe it could have been made easier by choosing more familiar words or providing a glossary of synonyms.

The initial chapters talk about thousand years of common misunderstandings about Islam by both Muslims and non-Muslims with solid reasoning on why people have misinterpreted the intention of God and mistranslated the Quran. There are some really hot topics like husband beating wife, the last prophet assumed to be illiterate, why Hadith should be trashed, can a man really marry more than one woman, should thieves' hands be cut off and so on. There are compelling reasoning on why Muslims have mistranslated verses of Quran on these topics and how that has resulted in thousand years of blind faith, mass murders, and made Islam look like a barbaric religion to non-Muslims or even to Muslims who has strong reasoning.
