5.0 out of 5 stars Sola a great Anime, 30 Aug. 2011
Sola is a great anime with a air of mystery about it.
the story behind Sola was enjoyable and has a past behind it (which i always like in an anime). There are 13 episodes with 2 OVA's. all 13 episodes + 1 OVA are all serious and very well thought of episodes with either a gripping past or great action scenes, The other OVA episode is more of a comedy based episode which does feel a little out of place within the series but it still is a great episode.
There is one plot of the main male characters story which i feel is quite poorly thought off and may seem stupid (though i cant state as it is a spoiler), but the story is easily followed and very interesting.

The characters on Sola all are unique with individual and interesting personalities, perhaps there are 1 or 2 characters that serve little or no purpose but they still have gripping personalities. there is also a moderate to strong amount of detail put into the characters and the scenery.

The sound and music tracks used within the anime dont always really catch the veiwers attention but there are some exceptions in some scenes, and i personnaly enjoyed the opening music and the credits music.

Overall i would recommend Sola to anybody who enjoys an anime with an air of mystery behind it, it also haves a simular feel to some other animes like Ef - A tale of Memories (or melodies).

5.0 out of 5 stars CLANNAD an awesome Anime, 6 Aug. 2011
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
CLANNAD is one of many great anime made by key.
it is based on the final year in high school for the dilinquant Tomoya Okazaki who is tired of both his life and the town he lives in, that is until he meets a shy Nagisa Furukawa on his way to school and befriends her whilst helping her revive the schools drama club.

Without giving away any spoilers it is hard to put into words of how good this anime (as with Key's other work (Kanon, Air)) actually is. This anime would be perfect for anybody who is a fan of Animes with great character personality builds (even in secondary and minor characters) and anybody who find any school based shows interesting, this searies of CLANNAD also has many aspects to grip the veiwers to it, using Comedy, drama and part of a tale that leaves the veiwer wondering of its significance (which is explained in the afterstory Series of CLANNAD). The veiwer is also bought into the story with the excellent usage of music for any major scene.

This is a great purchase and i would suggest any anime fans and anybody interested in veiwing animes to purchase CLANNAD and CLANNAD afterstory, also i would recommend Kanon, and Air which are 2 of keys other animes.

3.0 out of 5 stars Pretty Nice Game, 10 Jun. 2011
This review is from: L.A. Noire (Xbox 360) (Video Game)
Whenever anyone thinks of Rockstar they usually think of GTA. I have to admit that LA Noire will also be thought of from now on.

If i had to rate some aspects of it, i feel i would give:
Story - 4/5
Length - 2/5
Fun - 3/5

I feel the story was really strong throughout most of the game, there is one point in which the story becomes poor and uninteresting for quite a while, but when this period ends, it gets you really deep and back into the story. I also like the intelectual degree of the game and story which is a nice relaxer from Rockstars heavy "gangster" games which do cause annoyance when the player cannot understand 90% of what most of the characters are saying.
This game does require some intelligence of your own to figure out clues / places to go and suspects to accuse.

The game as a whole however i would have to say would only get a 64% due to disapointments caused by expectations above anything else. When i opened the case and saw that it was 3 discs, i was hoping that the game will take a very long time to complete (like 16-23 hours play time in total) but very disapointingly, i found that the game was actually shorter than most games today, it appears that the number of discs is due to better graphics or videos which i find really disapointing (due to the fact i'd rather a longer and more enjoyable gameplay than a prettier gameplay).

In my personal opinion i feel that LA Noire will appeal to some and not to others, there is heavy language throughout the game (no suprise) but at least the player can understand the characters, it requires some intelligence to play and some patience, i won't say it's a bad game as that isn't true, though i can say with confidence that it is a disapointing game in several areas. It can be worth the purchase depending on taste
Just don't buy the game if you are expecting a GTA type game as you will be disapointed, me... i bought the game due to a friends reccomendation, i didnt expect a GTA type game (although it does share the same feel as GTA) i wont say i wasted my money as i enjoy the game, others i've heard have really hated the game.

Sony NWZE444B E Series 8GB MP3 Walkman with Voice Recording Function - Black
Sony NWZE444B E Series 8GB MP3 Walkman with Voice Recording Function - Black

4.0 out of 5 stars Very Good Buy, 27 April 2011
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I've had the Sony NWZE444B E Series 8GB MP3 Walkman for a few months now and not a single problem.

It's simple to use and add music to your library as it can either use the Drag and Drop function using any windows Operating system (not sure about other O/S) or you can sync the walkman using ITunes / Windows Media Player.
It's simple to navigate around and all functions seem more or less good or great in some way or another.
The only complaint's i have to say about this product is that the maximum Volume limit doesn't seem to be very high compared to past MP3 players that i have owned (like the Samsung YP-Z5), there is also little you can do in regards to the screensaver as it seems to just flash up with the time / date every so often

the cons (that i feel) are seriously overshadowed by the Pros of the Sony NWZE444B E Series 8GB MP3 Walkman and i would defenetly recommend it to others

5.0 out of 5 stars Reach sets itself above most Halo Games, 25 Jan. 2011
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I've played all Halo FPS games and have enjoyed all but ODST in one way or another, but i kept saying that the Campaign mode on whichever title i had just purchased wouldnt match up to Halo Combat Evolved's (aka. Halo 1) and its Multiplayer would either be around the same level or better than Halo 2's.

Well for Reach i think that even though technically it is a prequal to Halo 1 as what happens on reach takes place months before Halo 1, this in fact Halo 4 in all but its name.

Campaign mode - Yes i still feel that it does not best Halo 1's campaign mode and i doubt they will be able to top it, but this games campaign mode is far more superior to Halo 2 / 3 / Odst, and it is written quite well to fit into the halo storyline.
I only had 1 complaint against hundreds of praises for Halo Reach's campaign mode, the complaint is that Brutes seem to be a somewhat pointless enemy now, even though they become the main and one of the most powerful enemies in the Future (past titles), as it only takes 2 shots to the head, which beleive me isnt dificult with a pistol / DMR (BR) / Needle Rifle which are all common weapons...
but otherwise Bungie have made all other races far supperior to previous titles and in doing so made them more interesting / entertaining to fight. Grunts (which are my fav enemies as they are so out of control) now seem to be more tactical and lethal with their massive differences in weapon use (from the Plasma Pistol all the way to Fuel Rod Cannons and Plasma Launchers) as well as suicidal with their grenade Martyring.
Jackals finnaly have purpose other than Sniping like in previous titles, behind their shields some like to hold Plasma Rifles and Needlers, and other excellently made use of the Needle Rifle or the new Covenant Sniper rifle... They also have a Cousin species called the Skirmishers which look relatively the same but are so fast and atheletic its interesting to try and catch the little things, and skirmishers are just as deadly as Jackals.
Drones are minimal in this title which is a shame for such hard to hit flying bugs, but when they do pop out of nowhere they prove to be quite formiddable.
Elites are far better and its great to see the REAL main enemy make a return as an enemy instead of an ally, theres nothing i like more on a halo game as to fight the elites and grunts.
Brutes as stated before seem quite useless unless they are armoured to the bone with shields on, which then again are still an easy kill.
Hunters dont seem to have changed much in anything but tactics, as now they try to cover any exposed part of them which is shot and are far more effective when wacking you flying for taunting their inability to hit you with their massive guns.
---Campaing mode i give an 8/10, not because it was lacking in fun or anything but becuase it still isnt as good as Halo1's---

Multiplayer has suprised me as it seems far more interesting than Halo 2 / 3 / ODST, its Firefight mode is awesome and the many modes offered are all great and appealing to any type of First Person Shooter / Halo fan. Its forge mode is even better than what previous titles offered and the forge mode level offers a gigantic canvas to build either and very big level or block certain areas off and make a smaller but equally brilliant level, the Bungie team use this forge level to create great levels from previous titles like Coagualation / Ascention and others (cant remember their names) but also a new level using a fairly large island in the centre of the forge level.

---Multiplayer Mode i give a 9/10, it maybe could be better and its map packs could be cheaper, but has proven itself above all previous Halo titles---

This is a great game for any FPS / Halo fan and is worth every penny you spend on the disk (just maybe not the map packs.

2.0 out of 5 stars The End of COD games? lets hope so, 25 Jan. 2011
I have to start my review with a little plea to COD makers to either make the games as COD 2 or MW1 was or please give up!!!

as for Black Ops Review for the PC (i usually purchase these for the 360 as i like having a control pad in my hands but PC games are better and have a cheaper tag when it comes down to it)...

The single player mode did grab my attention quite well, this was short lived though, after playing the first few levels i lost interest in the game as it seemed to become more and more like "the everydad 1st person shooter" which in these days bores me quickly, i carried on playing until i got to a certain peice which has not let me progress any further since, the game simply removes my character from the area and my camera starts flying around until the game crashes (this is likely a localised problem to myself but my brother who also got the game has suffered freezing issues alot of times since installing it). Anyways after reinstalling the game twice and getting this issue at this same point i gave up with single player and tried multiplayer (as i was a huge fan of MW1s MP i was hoping for something overshadowing that, with all the hyp that was going on with this game before its release). also i have to comment that the AI of your allies on Single player is very poor and reminds me of AI produced in the times of Sony's Playstation 1, it IS that useless, it seems that allied AI like to watch me play the game with a cup of tea rather than helping me...

Anyways onto Multiplayer, well what can i say, it seems EXACTLY the same as COD World at war and Modern Warfare 2 with different tools... i can play it for so long but after that im bored, same goes for its zombies mode... the only thing i like about this game on MP is that now you can purchase your Perks / Weapons instead of having weapons forced upon you, then when you have reached the top your prize is an AK-47

Overall i would say that if you are a Die-Hard Call of Duty fan, then this game is probably for you, otherwise if you are like me and see that modern games are diminishing in their greatness; compared to previous game versions in their titles or back in the Sega Genesis time, this game just goes to show you that you are indeed correct, as game developers these days release poor quality games where their online play or the ability to unlock pointless acheivements are somehow meant to make up for the fact that the games were not tested and are in fact riddled with bugs and other issues, as these are common bugs which any customer seems to find.

1.0 out of 5 stars A Waste of money for Fable Fans, 25 Jan. 2011
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Fable III (Xbox 360) (Video Game)
I haved purchased all 3 of the fable games, and i must say that Fable 3 was a large disapointment for me and my brother.

The game itself is slow and seems largely unstable. The gameplay is boring compared to Fable II and there are little improvements in the game itself from the 2nd title. The only improvements i can comment on was that you can now wield 2 spells and combine them together, also you can upgrade weapons... Other than that the game is a huge waste of perfect potential.
In the gameplay itself, combat is lacking compared to Fable 2, there is little use for Melee combat as after 2 hits from your sword or hammer 90% of enemies block EVERY hit from then on until you use Magic or Guns, The spell system functions relatively same as Fable II except for Area of Effect spells which enemies seem to know the area it can effect so they stand back out of the designated circle, It also seems that it has less of a challenge behind upgrading Skills / Spells (also 2 spells from Fable II have been made into potions and one completly removed, in exchange for 1 added spell). The game also feels that it has removed so much for the online play, which i feel ruins the game anyway, as you can now complete an already short game in even less time and be bored of it at a quicker date.

as for the story of the game, it can be tedious and boring to some, it does feel really rushed at other points, and there is the issue with the allignment of good or evil, both me and my brother felt that the game forces the player to be good and there is little choice of wether or not to be evil, other issues this game has is that once you become King / Queen you must raise a fortune for the final peice of the Story and i must say that if you dont raise this fortune in the time given, you will effectively ruin your own gameplay as i did, as many of the civilians / guards / shopkeepers / quest NPCs are removed from the game if not all of them.

Even the expansion pack on XBox live seems as a kind of ripoff to me, it costs 400 points and is really nothing impressive, as it is a small village of about 7 houses, and 3 quests (1 is to find this village, another to repeat the reaver's mansion spin the wheel game as many times as you want, and the final is a shooting range which Fable II had it in for free) and these will keep you entertained for a maximum of 1 hour.

To be honest i would advise those who dont own a Fable Title to purchase Fable II, for those who do own one i would advise against this game at all costs as it is an utter embarressment to the Fable Title. I completed Fable III on the 2nd time through as i ruined my 1st save game, and this only took me around 4 hours, since finnishing the game i havent touched it or even looked at it.
