A charming, entertaining book., 28 April 2016
A delightful book about turning a derelict farm into a working concern, with the minimum of resources. The Herons certainly had difficulties which would have deterred a much younger couple, not least the harsh environment and climate of the North York Moors. They applied themselves with diligence and enlisted waves of willing visitors to help. The photos and line drawings add to the book's charm - I used to live in this area and reading this brings back wonderful memories. Bank House Farm is still a very special place.
