3.0 out of 5 stars More on the Klowns please!, 16 Feb 2014

Pacey but more of a military procedural. Wanted more of the Klowns than the soldiers as they still had personalities - albeit those of twisted killers

3.0 out of 5 stars Takes some getting used to, 28 May 2013
The lack of any cushioning and the split between the big toe and the rest of the toes makes for a weird first wearing. Getting used to them but as you would not walk over rough ground in your bare feet the same goes for these.

4.0 out of 5 stars Neat and colourful, 9 May 2013
Would have been 5 stars but the metal holder is rather tight to the cups and tends to scrape them as you take them out

Spot on as a small gym bag - doesn't slip once on your back and large enough for your kit

4.0 out of 5 stars Good but the first in the series was better, 4 Dec 2012

After the grand backdrop of a brewing war between heaven and hell in the first book this novel feels less exciting. A road trip with two possessed bodies seeking a rogue collector hellbent on destroying the world - I wanted more about the hero's backstory with his ex friend and now opponent. That said good characterisation and a decent pace made for an entertaining read. Not recommended if you have a problem with creepy crawlies!

5.0 out of 5 stars Classic comedy, 4 Dec 2012

Everything about this show is spot on, in turn laugh out loud, poignant, achingly sad and brutally satirical on the state of the NHS. The first two series were directed by Peter Capaldi and all are written by the three main female leads. Pippa the oblivious consultant obsessed with prodding the darker holes of the human anatomy is matched by Jo Brand's genuine warmth as she deserately tries to show a compassionate face to her elderly charges but all too often is just left to clean up the mess. Very British, very true and simply magnificent
