good on the move, 9 Feb 2012
I subscribed 3 weeks ago, and in that period have received all issues except one. Issues arrive automatically, at least if you have a wifi connection, maybe also phone link if you have the 3G Kindle -- I do, but have had a wifi connection so far. It's in many ways much easier to read than the print or internet editions, especially on the move. Once the issue arrives you can read it anywhere, in a car/bus, on the beach. Browsing is easy, you scroll the sections on the left side and the story headlines appear on the right, so you select the story you like, and can easily return to the main page by pushing the centre of the scroll button. Obviously the visual presentation is not as striking as the internet edition, only the occasionally photo, but if you mainly want to read the text of the articles, as I do, it's excellent. You can easily clip and save a story, or save the entire edition, otherwise Amazon seems to keep one week's issues for you. The IHT is my preferred source for world news especially when I am travelling out of the UK, I used to buy a print edition 2-3 times a week whenever I could, but that can be hard outside big cities. Now for the same or lower cost I get it automatically and on time. At last newspapers have been shown (by Amazon) how to safeguard their future. If Amazon could offer package deals, I would subscribe to several.
