5.0 out of 5 stars EASY CARE, 7 May 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This is a massive advance on the basic ETB I previously used - why? Well the battery lasts much longer, the pressure gauge is reassuring, and the time indicator ensures that I spend enough and not too much time brushing my teeth.

4.0 out of 5 stars AT THE READY, 1 Feb 2012
A compact camera needs to be exactly so and this camera wrap ensures that it remains so whilst being protected against knocks and scrapes. The missing star is because the securing base plate is a little lightweight. I use the wrap on a Canon S95 and that is about the limit of the wrap in my view.

5.0 out of 5 stars SHARP RELIEF, 1 Feb 2012
The images in this book taken from full plate images are so sharp and atmospheric that you often feel that you are back on the Clyde on a crisp clear day. You can take a magnifying glass and pick out even more detail. It is hard to believe these scenes now as you stand looking across John Brown's fitting out basin. The text is worthy but its the pictures that make this book an absolute must.

5.0 out of 5 stars BETTER THAN A QUILL, 24 Dec 2011
It is an amazing item. I bought it primarily to do plans and sketches connected with talks and to date this has worked well. The surprising element is the degree the software can interpret my writing and convert 80% to text at the first pass. What it cannot do is read through my hand if the hand blocks the path between the pen and sensor. Although it can work as a 'mouse' I have not found it as a viable alternative, but it is not intended to be. I was a little concerned about pen refills but have found that they are readily available and the same as ball point refills I already use.

5.0 out of 5 stars SO MUCH, SO EASILY, 7 Mar 2011
All too often I have found such manuals poorly indexed and difficult to follow, not this one. So far everything I have needed to know has been clearly defined, easily understood and readily put into practice. It is as if as you look at the Powerpoint page the scales fall from your eyes and each icon says 'of course that's what it does'.

5.0 out of 5 stars BEST YET, 2 Dec 2010
Although I am only a third the way through this biography I can say without reservation that it is the best 'life of Armstrong' I have delved into to date. At present the only other histories in print of this great man I am aware of are 'Arms and the Man' and 'Emporer of Industry' both small booklets. The more substantial works 'WG Armstrong' and 'The Great Gunmaker' are only available on the used market at inflated prices. If you just want one history of this other great Son of Newcastle this is it, it is in my view the best.

PURE Premium Leather Case for PURE Move Radio - Midnight

4.0 out of 5 stars MAKES A GOOD CASE, 2 Dec 2010
I had read some criticism of this case and was half a mind whether or not to buy one. Had it been on offer at the full price I would probably have baulked at the idea of purchase. However I now feel at the price offered it is good value. The case is well made and fits the radio perfectly. When closed it forms a neat tidy protective package. When open the cover does not naturally support the radio in a semi upright operating position, it does better over time, but never on a polished surface. The radio will stand perfectly upright in the case. This is the area that reduces my award from 5 to 4 stars. I recommend it at the price advertised.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good Grip, 24 Oct 2010
Why pay more? This grip is also offered with batteries for about £10 more. In my view either is a great buy as it is less than half the price of the Canon version and matches the appearance and quality of the accompanying camera perfectly.

The real question is whether or not it is a desirable or necessary accessory? It does provide the opportunity to use AA batteries in an emergency. My prime purpose for buying it was to balance the camera better with heavier lenses and/or a flashgun: it does this perfectly. An advantage that I had not appreciated was the great aid it is to taking photographs in the portrait aspect: it really is an advantage.

Drawbacks? It does increase camera weight and bulk. For me it will be a useful accessory but not one that remains attached to the camera; afer all the range of cameras it fits are good to use and carry because they are light and compact.

4.0 out of 5 stars Solid Companion, 17 Sep 2010
After reading all the available reviews I could find on this product I took the plunge and bought it. First I was pleasantly surprised about the extras included in the kit, including a T-Pod, a very stirdy device.

The TrekPod GO PRO is a significant lump, and not a lightweight walking pole, therefore I would not recommend it as a companion on regular ramblings when you might use your camera. However if you are on the move looking for possible photographic opportunites, for instance country churches, vernacular buildings, then it is great. Similarly as a companion at a sporting event as a crossover between mono and tri-pod.

It is not sold as or intended as a tri-pod but it is quite stable at minimum height in calm conditions.

Finally the tip is not intended for prolonged walking therefore I use a 1" rubber walking stick ferrule is used as an easily removable protection for the 3 feet.

5.0 out of 5 stars Safe, fast, available., 14 Feb 2010
This case makes it so easy to carry and use a small point and shoot camera. The camera's handstrap can be secured to the sock's clip so that all items are kept safe and available. The camera is protected from the clip by the thickness of the material used to make the flap of material through which the clip is threaded. A brilliant item. Check it out before choosing any other.
