1.0 out of 5 stars AVOID!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, 1 Oct 2007
I needed a player to replace a failed sony, and after a little research, (couldn't find alot about it)I chose this. It seemed to have good reviews here on amazon though, so I took a chance. Unfortunatley it was the worst decision I think I ever made. The player packed in before I even had a chance to listen to the music. I charged it up through my computer (that's the only way you can do it), transfered one song just to try it out, managed to open the music section, and all it had on the screen where the songs should be were jumbles of letters, and then the player completely froze. It was completely non responsive and it wouldn't even turn off!!! It's a good job Amazon have such good customer service so I can send this back.

3.0 out of 5 stars Charmed: Season Six, 13 Mar 2006
This review is from: Charmed - Season 6 [DVD] (DVD)
Well I am sorry to say that season five was the last of the great seasons. Although season six gets off to a fantastic start with the two part opener 'Valykerie Vixens', the exciting episode 'Forget me...not' (although, where were these 'Cleaners' when their magic was exposed in season Three?), and the hilarious 'Power of Three Blondes', the season goes downhill from there. Apart from a couple more standout episodes, this season is extremely weak and even boring. If you are a Charmed fan this season will no doubt disappoint you, and in some places maybe even make you cringe at the pure silliness in parts. Also, how many times have the sisters died now? They have all had their turn(s) and now you just think: 'Oh no, she's died again. Oh well never mind, she'll be back in a few minutes'. The writers really need to come up with new ways to shock the audience and to get them on the edge of their seats because quite frankly the deaths of the sisters don't do it anymore, especially if you have been a fan since the early seasons, and have seen it time and again. So in conclusion this season has no more than about six good episodes, and the rest are average or even below, but if you are a Charmed fan, the complete collection of DVD's should be on your shelf. Standout episodes are:
Valykerie Vixens
Forget me...not
The Power Of Three Blondes
The Courtship Of Wyatt's Father
It's a bad, bad, bad, bad World

5.0 out of 5 stars Charmed: Season Four, 11 Mar 2006
This review is from: Charmed: Season 4 [DVD] (DVD)
With the departure of Shannen Doherty (Prue), I was very curious, and a little nervous, to see what the new sister would be like, and whether or not I could warm up to her. I am pleased to say that Rose McGowan (Paige), fits right in. At the beginning of the series her acting is not up to the high standards of her co stars, as she had never been in a television show before 'Charmed', and of course she would be getting used to the new environment, but don't worry, you'll grow to love her! However, Holly Marie Combs (Piper) is the standout actress of this season. It isn't very often that I am moved to tears by anything on television, but Holly is so fantastic at her emotinal scenes, you can believe that she really is going through what her alter ego is. I am not ashamed to say that her breakdown scenes in 'Charmed Again' and 'Hell Hath No Fury', had me blubbing like a baby. What can I say? The recipie for a magical season of Charmed is Drama, great writing, great acting and directing, and just the right touch of comedy. Season Four has it all, and is one of my favourite seasons. Standout episodes are:
Charmed Again
Hell Hath No Fury
Charmed And Dangerous
Marry Go Round
Bite Me
Long Live The Queen

5.0 out of 5 stars Charmed: Season Three, 7 Mar 2006
Now here is where the show really starts to come into it's own. This season sees the addition of exciting and memorable new characters such as Cole Turner, the half-demon sent to kill the Charmed Ones, but who falls in love with Phoebe in the process. This season also unfortunatley sees the departure of Shannen Doherty and her character Prue, in one of the best episodes of Charmed ever written, 'All Hell Breaks Loose'. If you are looking for a dramatic and involved episode to keep you on the edge of your seat, that is the episode for you. And also, how could I write my review for the third season without mentioning my favourite couple, Piper and Leo. The couple finally tie the knot this season in the fantastic episode 'Just Harried'. We were all waiting for the couple to make it official, and they do it in true 'Charmed' style. The whole season is full of drama, suspense, excitement and also some great comedy. Season three is definatley one of the best seasons of Charmed. Standout episodes are:
All Hell Breaks Loose
Look Who's Barking
Sin Francisco
Just Harried
Coyote Piper
Primrose Empath

3.0 out of 5 stars Charmed: Season Two, 4 Mar 2006
Although this season is seriously lacking in true drama, it is still an entertaining season of the show. This is not one of my favourite seasons, but there are a few episodes on there that are pretty good, but most of those are good because of the entertainment value rather than drama and carefully constructed plots. It is very much a 'demon of the week' season, and there is not alot of character development or exciting story arcs. Also there are again no special features, so I have to give this box set three stars. If you are a Charmed fan though, every box set should be in your collection so you can relive the magic episode by episode. Standout episodes are:
Morality Bites
Miss Hellfire
Pardon my past
Chick Flick
Apocalypse not

5.0 out of 5 stars Charmed - Season Five, 10 Dec 2005
This review is from: Charmed: Season 5 [DVD] (DVD)
As with any season of any show, this season has it's weak episodes, but it is brilliant nontheless. It contains some of my favourite episodes and the acting standard is as high as ever. The show reaches it's 100th episode milestone this season with a fab episode 'Centennial Charmed', in which an exciting plotline leaves Paige in another dimension where her sisters don't even know she exists. Charmed continues to excite and delight with gripping storylines and hilarious comic moments. Charmed is sure to cast a spell on you. Standout episodes are:
Sympathy For the demon
Sand Francisco dreamin'
The day the magic died
Baby's first demon
Cat House
Sense and sense ability
Oh my Goddess

4.0 out of 5 stars Charmed - Season One, 19 Nov 2005
This review is from: Charmed: Season 1 [DVD] (DVD)
I was soooo excited when I heard that Charmed was coming to DVD. I have been a fan for quite a few years now, and it was a long long wait. Now it has come to DVD, the only disappointment is that there are no special features whatsoever. We had a very long wait, and that is the least they could have done. But no matter. All 22 episodes of the first Season are here in the long awaited DVD box set. Admittedly, this is not the best season of the show, but that is to be expected when it was new and finding itself. Stand out episodes are:
The truth is out there and it hurts
From fear to eternity
Is there a woogy in the house
Which Prue is it anyway
