5.0 out of 5 stars Nice super low budget smartphone, 27 Sep 2014
The price on amazon is a little expensive, if you go to The Carphone Warehouse you get this on pay as you go for £59.95. This is a super low budget phone and for £59.95 it is very good value! It has a fast quad core processor and the entire phone runs smoothly. If you can afford to spend a little bit extra I would recommend the next model up, the Nokia Lumia 630 which comes with a much better screen, a lot better battery life. The Lumia 530 was created to allow people to have a smartphone who couldn't afford to get one before and to drive the price lower they had to sacrifice a couple of things like auto brightness but there is a quick toggle accessible by swiping down from the top of the screen so it is still really easy to change. Overall it is a very good phone for £59.95 so hopefully amazon will price match Carphone Warehouse soon!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Exceptional Quality! A True Work of Art! Well Done Nokia!!!, 29 July 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Amazing phone! Words cannot describe how incredible the quality is of this phone, Nokia have one again outdone the competition but this time by a HUGE margin! The screen is beautiful and is higher resolution than the iPhone retina display! The build quality is exceptional and the style is beautiful it looks so pure like it was produced naturally by the world. The phone feels nice and slim and Windows Phone 8.1 is a massive improvement over 8.0! I honestly can't fault this phone, wireless charging built in and if you buy this phone by July 31st then you can claim a free wireless speaker and extra wireless battery charger. The phone itself actually comes with a wireless charger in the box!

5.0 out of 5 stars Best budget handset yet!!!, 25 May 2014
NOTE: From June 29th this phone will be available direct from amazon for around £89.95.

This phone is amazing for the £89.95 price tag! It has a super fast quad core processor and all day battery life! I never expected the camera to be amazing but it has auto focus and produces acceptable results. My only gripe is there's no front facing camera but the idea is that if you want more you pay more and get the next model up. This phone comes with the brand new Windows Phone 8.1 software update which has some great new features and brings it fully up to par with android and iOS. Cortana the personal voice assistant is also coming to UK very soon and this phone will be able to run her, she sounds amazing! (you can change your phone settings to US temporarily to try her out) The screen has nice blacks unlike most other budget handsets and the phone feels of Nokia's usual quality and durable build. It supports memory expansion by micro SD card up to a massive 128GB and you can now store apps on the SD card too so you'll never run put of space! The new keyboard is great and supports shape writing like the Swype keyboard on other phones but it's faster! All of my needed apps are available and the platform is very exciting with new ones being released all the time! This is a perfect first time smartphone for someone who wants something easy to use and of great quality and snappy smooth and responsive interface or just someone on a tight budget who doesn't want to sacrifice functionality or quality! I might even buy a couple more for my family

5.0 out of 5 stars Purchased for Windows Phone, 23 May 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This works great on Windows Phone and Windows 8, I use it to purchase apps, games, music and films. It allows me to give myself a budget and stop me spending endlessly, it would also be great to give to your children for their Windows Phones so that they can buy apps and games but only until the balance runs out, it is a good way to teach them the value of money, kind of.

2.0 out of 5 stars It's ok, 23 May 2014
This phone is not bad, it works, it does what a phone should do but when compared to the Nokia Lumia 630 which is the same price then this Moto E seems terribly overpriced in comparison. The Moto E is a very thick phone, a whole 3mm thicker than the Lumia 630, it also has half the memory, 4GB is really not anywhere near enough for general use. The Lumia 630 has 8GB and can be expanded up to 128GB. The battery life on both phones is about the same, both last all day which is great! Then there's the processor, the Moto E has just a dual core processor while the Lumia 630 has a quad core processor, both of the same speed but the Lumia 630 has better performance and a higher performance graphics chip. The Moto E doesn't come with any headphones so you will have to pay extra to get some yet the Lumia 630 has decent headphones included. If you hold both phones one in each hand then the Lumia 630 feels so much higher quality than the Moto E which feels plastic and cheap and easy to break. The camera is just plain awful on the Moto E!!! It doesn't even have auto focus while the Lumia 630 does have auto focus and takes much better pictures in comparison! The Lumia 630 has almost double the standby time of the Moto E and is slightly lighter too. The Moto E has nothing special about it but the Lumia 630 has a SensorCore built in to monitor your steps and keep track of your health with Bing Health and Fitness. Overall the Moto E is a very cheap phone that should only have a price tag of £50 while the Lumia 630 offers you a lot more for your money. I purchased both and I will be returning the Moto E and keeping the Lumia 630, the interface is so much easier to use and is more beautiful too!

5.0 out of 5 stars Incredible download speed! Simple activation!, 24 Jan 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Some people have been saying it's hard to set up so they must not be opening the web browser at all once they put the sim in because that's all you have to do. Here are the simple instructions to follow...

1. Put the sim card into your device.

2. Connect to the network.
(I don't know how this works on other devices but on a Windows tablet like my Nokia Lumina 2520 then you swipe in from the right and tap settings, connections (network signal icon), tap EE under mobile broadband and tap connect)

3. Open your web browser. Navigate to any website and you will be redirected to the EE activation page.

4. Follow the very quick and easy instructions to activate and voilà you have 6GB of incredibly fast 4G for 90 days.

I was able to download an entire film in just 6 minutes I was amazed at how fast it is in my 4G tablet! I will definitely be buying again as this costs a LOT more direct from EE. Best tablet ever now has the best mobile broadband to go with it!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Value!, 28 Dec 2013
I got this elsewhere for £149. Firstly I was a bit cautious about getting it because I thought it might be a little big for me but I don't regret taking the plunge one bit! You get used to the screen size and then can't imagine every having anything smaller because smaller just seems too small now. Shame it doesn't have NFC but its a great phone, very sleek and very fast and very good battery life. You get what you pay for and it has 4G! So I can get ultra fast download and upload speeds on the networks and it will last you a lot longer because most other phones still have just 3G and all the networks are rolling out 4G now so this is a perfect phone for those who don't want to spend a lot. I also use is as my satnav in the car, it's just perfect! Last but not least the build quality is as good as ever, just what you'd erect from Nokia and it's still built for those knocks and drops. Best money I've spent!

I love that Microsoft have made the interfaces are all versions of Windows very similar now; Windows 8, Windows Phone, Xbox etc. These gift cards also work on all of the platforms! The money gets added to your account and you can use it on Xbox, Windows 8 and Windows to buy games and apps and music. I just used it for my Windows Phone and it's great. So much better than android and iPhone!

5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant, sleek and fast, 23 Nov 2013
Looks great, works great and not had any problems yet. I like the new controller with its minor tweaks and I keep going out the room and back in just to get the Xbox to say hi to me haha
