The Art Of Partying
The Art Of Partying
Price: £5.99

5.0 out of 5 stars an excellent work, 17 Dec. 2009
This review is from: The Art Of Partying (Audio CD)
Three very catchy tunes in born to party, sadistic magician and headbanger facerip, and a comedy album of consistent quality. Although they are best understood as a live band this is nevertheless a decent album

4.0 out of 5 stars Decent despite the poor hype, 17 Dec. 2009
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Ok by this point wcw were so desparate for people to watch nitro that they forgot to hype their ppvs. Unless you count putting the belt on david arquette and having him ko tank abbott???? Having said that, the matches here are actually really good and buying this ppv will make you miss wcw by showing you a product that is neither as boring as wwe or illogical as tna. There is not one bad match and the best is mike awesome vs chris kanyon despite the usual ending. They ended up hyping up big time a rematch that never happened. If this is surprising to you, welcome to wcw :)

4.0 out of 5 stars a decent film, 17 Mar. 2009
This review is from: Poison Ivy [VHS] [1992] (VHS Tape)
Drew Barrymore is fantasic in this film but the rest of the actors are poor and the storyline is skectchy but she does the best with what she's given and that's what makes the film stand out from the bunch. It has a very 1990s feel to it

WCW: Superbrawl 2000 [VHS]
WCW: Superbrawl 2000 [VHS]

3.0 out of 5 stars average ppv, 9 Feb. 2009
This pay per view is average and the only good match is kidman vs vampiro. The main event is ridiculous and falls flat cos no one cares about roddy piper

3.0 out of 5 stars decent enough, 22 Jan. 2009
This review is from: Growing Pains (Hardcover)
To call this book bland and banal would be doing it a disservice, the book itself is badly written and the ghostwriter deserves a lot of blame for this because her omniscient first person narration doesn't ring true especially when she quotes people.Billie seems to have led an interesting life but she doesn't have enough of one to be doing an autobiography

1.0 out of 5 stars Simply awful, 18 Sept. 2008
This is an awful book whose timeology is messed up and who blaimes hogan for wcw collapsing even though he was the only guy to ever make them profitable. It fails to mention wrestling is cyclical and brings up so many things that culd not have caused the death of wcw like scott steiner saying "why don't you get a sex change so you have the balls to confront me" but if they'd been using disses like this every week they would not have gone bust. Shoddy and badly researched

5.0 out of 5 stars an excellent work, 10 Sept. 2008
I really enjoyed this book and as someone that is able to relate to the material found it interesting, relevant and helpful. It is a must read for anyone contemplating a relatonship where there are many inherent differences between the participants. I found the prosaic style could become somewhat dry after a while, however, but this is a minor point as this is a book designed to give information and not entertainment

WWF: In Your House [VHS]
WWF: In Your House [VHS]
VHS

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome show, 8 Aug. 2008
This was the wwf's first move towards doing monthly pay per views and it got the series off to a cracking start.
The In Your House name comes from a goofy contest to give away a $1 million house to someone who bought the show (some things never change)
The first match pits Hakushi against Bret Hart and is an awesome heated match which goes about 20 minutes. Bret makes Hakushi look like a genuine threat in spite of him being a newcomer and it is a decent contrast of styles contest.Razor Ramon vs Jeff Jarrett and the road dog is also an excellent contest although it would have been better if xpac were involved but is still lively and gave razor a victory over jarrett while still keeping Jarrett and roaddog as threats. Savio vega makes a surprise debut and the angle used to bring him in is excellent (shame that was about all he did). Bret Hart vs Jerry Lawler is also an excellent brawl and my personal highlight of the tape a proper old school match.Undertaker vs Kama is also good but i'm not sure why it wasn't on the ppv and the crowd weren't as into it because of this. Bam bam vs tatank is also an excellent tussle. Its just a shame they didn't have taker or bam bam headlining opposite sid instead of the dire kevin nash who actually dedicates the show to his dead mother in a sickly attempt to try and be the next bret hart. Smoking gunns vs yokozuna and owen hart is also forgettable but for me was nice to see owen get a clean pinfall victory on route to retaining his title (this was a rarity for cowardly heels back in 95). Adam Bomb vs Mabel is a dire bout but it exists to promote King of the Ring, wwfs next ppv outing so i guess i can live with that.
