4.0 out of 5 stars Superb quality although instructions not clearest, 12 Feb 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Does exactly what it says and although may prove a little difficult for some due to the instructions being about as clear as fog it doesn't take much to work out how it clips round the outside of a Kindle Fire HD. Would definitely recommend for any Fire HDs purchased for anyone under 13.

5.0 out of 5 stars FIT for purpose, 30 Jan 2013
Although this book was published over 7 years ago, in 2005, it is still extremely relevant to anyone wanting to develop software in collaboration with others and produce something that will fulfill the customer's requirements.

The book provides a very good description of the Fit tool but the main point of the book is how to use it to enable collaboration in the software development space and how people with different skills and interests can all work together to ensure the software produced is "Fit for purpose".

To pick up on a prior review, this book is not "pants", and although the overview it gives of FitNesse is cursory this is due to the fact that at the time the book was written FitNesse was in its infancy. Undoubtedly FitNesse, which builds on the Fit framework by providing a Wiki interface which aids collaborative development, is a very good tool and has probably overtaken Fit itself as the reference point for utilising the Fit framework. However, anyone wanting to use FitNesse could benefit from reading this book to learn the basics of the framework and gain a valuable insight into collaborative software development.

I cannot recommended it highly enough.

Venus In Copper: (Falco 3)
Venus In Copper: (Falco 3)

5.0 out of 5 stars Absolute genius!, 22 Aug 2012

Venus In Copper is an absolute scream of a read. The characterization is brilliant as is Falco's wit. As with Pratchett you can start the series almost anywhere and not feel you are missing something but I would definitely recommend starting at the beginning with The Silver Pigs (Falco 01) as it makes Venus In Copper an even more enjoyable read.

Well done Lindsey and I look forward to reading the rest of Falco's adventures.
