5.0 out of 5 stars congratulations Zoe!, 26 Nov 2014
This review is from: Girl Online (Kindle Edition)
i have been a huge fan of Zoella for ages now, so when she announced she had written a book, i was obviously going to buy it, and i certainly did not regret it :) it is an amazing story, thouh a tad predictable, but still highly enjoyable! Zoe and Louise are my inspirations, and i love love love reading and writing, so getting this was an easy choice!

someone earlier on reviewed this book, and took the oppurtunity not to give helpful advice on how to improve the book (not that, in my opinion Zoe needed it) - but decided to critisize Zoe. im not trying to start a fight - im sure that this person has just misunderstood, and instantly disliked Zoe, because she does make-up tutorials, then says looks dont matter. i agree, these two things sound like tthey contradict eachother, but wearing make-up doesnt make her a prissy dumb girly girl. Zoe is such a kind compassionate person, and has way more depth to her petsonality than many other girls who do make-up tutorials.

Zoe and louise have actually said multiple times that make-up shouldnt be to cover your face, but enhance your features, and make your natural beauty shine through. they have also said that the later you start wearing make-up the better, for younger viewers and fans.

So please dont hate, or say nasty things about people who you've only watched "the odd video" of, because you obviosly dont have a clear enough perception to have a proper opinion of Zoe :D

As i said, this is a story about a 16 yr old girl called Penny, who suffers from anxiety - this is probably linked to Zoe's experience with anxiety, herself :( she is such a loveable character, who i - as a teenage girl, can completely relate to. the storyline is great, and easy to follow - zoes writing talent is really showing through. I love elliot, he is the guy bff i really need in my life, aha :) Zoe, you are sooo talented, and all i can talk about with my friends about your book! i am avividly looking forward to another book in a few years...? this one made me laugh and cry :') Highly reccomend.
Zoe, im so proud of you ^_^

Jemma xx

3.0 out of 5 stars i skipped to the end, 31 Mar 2014
i think this book has great potential but i just got bored. in my mind, riley was spoilt and cocky, her mum was selfish, alex was clearly a player, and jesse was sweet and kind - by far the most decent character in the story. i skipped to the end im sorry

4.0 out of 5 stars great but..., 30 Mar 2014
amazing, loved it, apart from the romance. i understand a love interest in a story but the way its described (knotted muscles flexed and squeezed [ew] breathless, blushing ect) is pretty sickening and repetetive, which is a shame because i loved the adventure. but if the romance was a bit more subtle (aka: not getting lost in his blue/green swirly bright beautiful lustrous eyes) then it would of worked well. on a good note, the story was original and clever, and the idea of how the animals have changed and mutated is great! 4 stars! only 1 knocked off for the romance fail :)

5.0 out of 5 stars you cant help who you are, 2 Feb 2014
dont listen to that person above, being gay is fine and its who you are, whether you like it or not. gay is NOT bad and it doesnt make you a freak. god may have made us 'MEN and WOMEN' but he is stupid if he says its wrong. sorry if its against your religion but thats my opinion. oh yes, and the book was good and helpful :-)

good story but the main character sarah is really vain and it kinda gets on my nerves when book characters are clever and pretty and popular. not my thing but there you go.

2.0 out of 5 stars irritating, 26 Dec 2013
This review is from: Outcast (Kindle Edition)
this book is entertaining but really annoying. the main character, Noelle, has low self esteem and is bullied by a (suprise, suprise) a popular blonde girl, trina. however, somehow, the hottest boy in the school has a "secret" crush on her(!) however her bff also fancies this boy.
eventually she goes out with him to her friends dismay. she gets obsessed with "revenge"on the bully with her deranged new friend Cassandra. to Noelles horror, she discovers that her new boyfriend slept with trina BEFORE they got together (so he wasnt cheating on her) and, even though he told the truth and said he was sorry - which must've been hard - she insisted on getting revenge on him too.
i understand her shock, but seriously? also this book would probably offend catholics as it insults the church AND God. it annoys me alswell about the fact that she was always putting her friend down. basically, because she refuses to think of others, she manages to hurt everyone and wreck her life. although at the end i did feel sorry for her but neverless; not exactly original.
read it if u want - maybe u will enjoy it. not my cuppa tea though :P
