5.0 out of 5 stars Hip Hop Album of the Year................(so far), 23 Mar. 2003
This review is from: Square (Audio CD)
This is an amazing release by one man show buck 65. What we have here is sixty minutes of intricate, abstract, thought provoking hip-hop spread over four tracks or squares as he like to call them. Each square shifts through different moods from funky, to rapid to laid back and everywhere in between.
It is not easy to draw comparisons with any contempory artists but if your a fan of DJ Shadow, Blackalicious and the Solesides or Saul Willliams you would definately enjoy this. Great rhymes, great breaks, this is head and shoulders above the competition, headphone music for hip hop fans, the hip hop album of the year so far.

5.0 out of 5 stars What a pleasant surprise, 29 Aug. 2002
This review is from: Deadringer (Audio CD)
This is another excellent release from the ever impressive Def Jux label. What we have here is a beautifully crafted record that gently draws you into a series of lush soundscapes before jerking you back to reality. Imagine the middle ground between DJ Shadows Entroducing and the Private Press and you will generally get the idea. It really is that good. Buy this record if you like your hip/trip hop with a intelligent edge. Oh yeah the beats are out of this world.

5.0 out of 5 stars Oh my god, 23 Dec. 2001

This is another awesome noisecore record from Converge. From the first track it rips your head off and spits down your throat. The skill and dexterity of the playing is simply amazing. If you like nu metal dont buy this, then again if you like nu metal dont bother breathing.
