Wonderfully helpful. Worth reading over and over again to remind us again and again of what is important in our new roles as a mother.

4.0 out of 5 stars very informative, 2 Sept. 2009
The book was very informative, provided new concepts and ideas for getting in touch with your real world and life, has sound strategies and ideas to tackle changes one by one, and recaps on information often enough (without being repetitive).
Only down points were the idea of meditation becoming a part of your life comes in very late (and starts from the optimum of 45-60 minutes a day, every day rather than stressing the easing in and building up aspects); it was at times a bit dry; and at times the writing came across as if the author had not yet really come to terms with the concepts presented either. Also, a bit too much emphasis on working in a soup kitchen or donating food when there are so many other possibilities for reaching out, helping, becoming involved ...
I would recommend this book to anyone wanting to put their weight and body concerns into perspective and to gain more meaning and fulfillment from their lives. I found the ideas and concepts tied in well with another book bought too (What are you hungry for? - written for women).

4.0 out of 5 stars Good ideas, but a couple of reservations, 2 Sept. 2009
The book presented a host of ideas on how to feel more comfortable with oneself, which can lead to weight loss or gain (as desired). Bringing in the Eastern thoughts and yoga makes the reader think 'outside the box'. However, I found it was too American with too many examples or problems which are typically American (and here I refer to the USA alone) and not enough of a world-wide view.
It has provided me with a number of new ideas to change my focus and complemented another book I bought (The Zen of Eating) very well.
