5.0 out of 5 stars Sheer genius, 23 Oct. 2004
This review is from: Singles (Audio CD)
Having influenced a huge number of artists, from hip young bands like Franz Ferdinand, The Ordinary Boys (named after a Morrissey song), The Libertines and more established acts such as Oasis, Jeff Buckley and Muse, The Smiths were one of, if not the, seminal band of the 80's.
'The Singles' showcases, arguably, their best work and proves that Morrissey and Johnny Marr were the most important partnership since McCartney and Lennon.

5.0 out of 5 stars A book about my two favourite things: men and music!, 3 July 2004
This review is from: High Fidelity (Paperback)
I love this book.
Its funny, well written and brilliantly observed.
The references to music and how it relates to Rob's (the central character) life is very well done. You may get slightly annoyed at Rob's whining towards the end but ultimately this a book about the highs and lows of love, a book that you don't have to be a 30 something male to relate to.
