5.0 out of 5 stars BBBBBBBBBBUUUUUUUUUUYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, 3 Mar 2003
this is a brilliant album,it was the first live album by the neo pink floyd.the first half of the album is the best and consists mainly of material from momentary lapse of reason.the next side of the album is good but most of the songs are not as good as there oringinals, this album holds the third best comfortably numb(out of six)the first being pulse and the second being ITABOT?.the only major criticm I have of this album is the wall part 2 even though it is spectalarly done like in every other version, the intamacy is lost beacause it does not follow on from happiest days of our lives just like in pulse.

5.0 out of 5 stars SOLE HAS NO EYES!, 22 Feb 2003
This review is from: Radio K.a.o.s. (Audio CD)
this is a brilliant album, with a fantastic storyline, even though it's slightly farefeched that just ads to the excitment of it.
the album start's off with a song called radio waves which is the worst song on the album beacause the lyrics don't have much meaning behind them, but it's still a great melody and is basicly an intro to the album.
the next song(who needs information)is a great melody and is alot more powerful compared to the one before it,this song is about when benny and billy went out one night and benny got drunk and droped a concrete block off a bridge acidently killing a cab driver.
me or him? is a calm, sleepy song and is about benny going to jail and being missed by billy and the whole song is about billy feelings, the song was powerfuly written, but not sung that way.
the powers that be is about the powers that be which I have yet to discover what they actually are, this song is very powerfully sung.
sunset strip is about billy missing benny so he gets sent to live with his uncle dave and even though he likes it there he just dosn't feel like he beongs there and becomes homesick which follows onto the next song, the lyrics to this song are great(mainly beacause it describes are flag, for those of you who are welsh) and it has a very jazzy and cool instrumental and at the end theres a calafornian weirdo!SOLE HAS NO EYES heh heh.
the next song (home) as I said earlier is about billy being homesick, this is the best song on the album and luckily the longest, the singing ranges from being sung softly and roger belting out the lyrics at maximum intensity.
then in four minutes the album changes to a completly new climax where billy sets off nuclear warheads and destroys the power to be able to retaliate and warns every one about that they will blow up in four minutes,it's the sort of song that would sound good on a movie.
then all the power go's out and nothing happened, and was basically an illusion made by billy who now is home, then one man in a pub in wales begings to sing and is joined by everyone else.this a very nice way to finish a brilliant album.

I have only listened to this album 3 times and it is already one of my favourite albums. It starts off with the fairly good radio waves, then the very good, powerful and rocky who needs information?then the calm but sad me or him?which is very good but could be more powerful in parts of it.thrn the powers that be which is also very powerful and rocky, then sunset strip which has brilliant lyrics and a very jazzy instramental and a calafornian weirdo!then the very powerful and emostianal home which is possibly the best song on the album and luckly the longest.then the fantastic four minutes soon followed a brilliant ender:the tide is turning.

4.0 out of 5 stars very good, 5 Feb 2003
this is a fantastic album, astromony domine is spacy and very rocky and a fantastic song a true pink floyd classic, lucifer sam has great singing in it and great bass playing but like most songs written by syd, very strange lyrics, matilda mother is fairy tale like song and is good, flaming is a very weird song and is very pompously sung and is a good song, pow r. toc h. is very phycadelic and fairly good but the best song is instellar overdrive but it may take a few listens to truly understand it's sheer brilliance, everything else on album is quite good.

4.0 out of 5 stars probally the the scariest and strangest album you'll ever he, 3 Jan 2003
This review is from: Ummagumma (Audio CD)
ok,I received the album yesterday and it rocks!the best part of the album is the live songs of wich all rock, the best song on there is easly "careful with that axe, eugene"the music starts spooky and calm as if your walking alone in some unrecognisble place when suddenly a cold and quiet voice whispers it's way onto the cd player soon followed by they sounds of a screaming victim.this is probabally one of the best and scariest song you'll ever hear, please I'm warning you do not listen to this on your cd player alone or you will be quivering for the next half hour.and all the other live songs are very good.as for the stuidio version don't listen to any of syphus beacause I listened to it all beacause I was not wise enough to trust the former reveiwers judgement and listened to it all thinking how it was possible for rick wright so horribly tuned music.granchester meadows is very relaxing and nice, the next following(several speices of small.......)piece is the strangest song I've ever heard and not sure weather the title is true beacause it sounds more like the animals are slaughtering eachother and the pict rather than grooving with them but still it's a listenable song you see what you think.all of the narrow way is good and the grand vizer garden is good apart from the longest part the entertainment.sorry the reveiw was so long but it's a long album so hence the long reveiw.
