Lestrade - Series 3 (Spoiler Alert), 25 Oct. 2013
Personally, I find the title of the series a tad misleading. I had been fully prepared for 4.5 hours of emotional ups and downs: Sherlock returning to John, the fall finally explained. However, I was perplexed to discover that the series had in fact been partially renamed "Lestrade" and featured a rather comic book-like account of his daily adventures. The music score was enjoyable, but perhaps would've been better suited to the children's TV show Balamory. I was, however, pleased at the addition of the "new" villain, Mrs Hudson; Una Stubbs did a grand job in showing her growing and out-of-control resentment to Lestrade's rejection of her advances, and I look forward to series 4 where we'll finally see the resolve of the third episode cliffhanger where the landlady herself was just about to take down the British government armed only with a rolling pin and a used hankerchief.
