5.0 out of 5 stars Organised!, 27 Nov 2014
The MelodySusie Acrylic Cosmetic Organiser is really handy for people like me who tend to get bits and pieces in a total mess on the dressing table or in the bathroom, subsequently ending up losing essential items.

The product arrives in a well padded delivery box and arrived in perfect condition. It is in two pieces when it arrives - the top storage sections and the bottom half with the shelves. All that needs to be done is to sit he top section on top of the bottom, where it then sits securely and safely.

The top part has sixteen storage compartments. Twelve of these are of a size that will fit items such as lipstick or some nail varnishes (obviously depending on bottle size) etc. There are two compartments which are particularly suited to make up brushes, a large compartment in which I put foundation and items I want to be able to grab quickly. The other top compartment is of medium size and it fits my moisturiser perfectly.

On the bottom section, there are four drawers. Two large and two smaller. These are ideal for makeup, jewellery or anything you small you want to keep safe and contained.

The unit is acrylic. It basically looks like a see through plastic or glass. It is quite thick and strong - it doesn't strike me as particularly breakable. I believe it will withstand regular usage well.

I will be using this item a lot and it has got me more organised!

I was sent this item to test and to honestly review.

5.0 out of 5 stars fangs!, 27 Nov 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Another really good book from Elias Zapple.

I would suggest that before starting this one you should read the first Nicu book to get a background!... The books are quite wacky and full of imagination.

This one follows Nicu after he grown his fangs. Along with the fang fairy and Trevor the ogre it makes for good light hearted reading for children (and adults!...).

I have just read this with a 9 year old who thought it was funny. She has enjoyed all the books by Elias Zapple and we are looking forward to the next one!

4.0 out of 5 stars walkies!, 27 Nov 2014
This review is from: LeapFrog AlphaPup (Toy)
The LeapFrog AlphaPup is a really cute toy!

My two year old enjoys playing with this. As she pulls along the puppy its tail swings along as it has a rubber base. The wheels don't roll uniformly and makes the dog kind of have a waddling effect!

There is a button for each letter of the alphabet. One press of an alphabet button tells you "H says *insert phonic sound*". Another press says things such as "T, tail, watch my tail wag".

There are two additional buttons one of which is a music button and another which seems to say random phrases such as "you're my best friend" and "will you pat my head".

When the puppy is taken for a walk, the puppy starts playing tunes - the ABC song is sung in a very jolly voice!... If the child stops walking, the music also stops and starts again when the walk recommences.

The only downside with this toy is that the lead is far too short. I understand that there may be health and safety issues with very long bits of string, but my two year old is leaning down to take the toy for a walk!...

However, she has really enjoyed using this toy and spent many happy hours playing with it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Did an excellent job, 27 Nov 2014
We started using this as our baby started moving around a lot more in her sleep and she kept getting her legs trapped in the bars of the cot. This would then wake her up and she would start screaming when she found she couldn't extract her leg herself. This solves that problem.

I was always wary of bumpers, but being mesh, if the child's face is up against it, they can still breath.

It is I easy to attach with Velcro and simple enough to take off and wash.

For us, this gave us many more hours sleep without being woken by a distressed child, and it was worth every penny.

5.0 out of 5 stars Has lasted well, 27 Nov 2014
This cup is very good. Unlike many of our sippy cups it has lasted really well and hasn't been destroyed by our daughter... Yet!....

The spout that the child drinks from is rubbery texture and although my daughter does have a tendency to try and chew on it, it hasn't broken. The cup is really good for keeping milk cooler for that bit longer due to being made from stainless steel.

In terms of cleaning, the cup does have parts that need to be taken apart for proper cleaning. It is quite straightforward, and the cup is easily reassembled.

Overall, this cup has served us well, and lasted much longer than others - therefore making it worth paying a bit extra for.

5.0 out of 5 stars Looks good and did a good job, 27 Nov 2014
This bread bin looks good, and it is a really decent size.

It is shiny (downside is finger prints!...) and looks good on the work surface. I can store two normal size loaves of bread inside, which is the most I ever need to do, so it is perfect for my needs.

It should be noted that the opening system is not a touch system for closing the bread bin. You do have to actually physically close it like any other bread bin. It simply opens easier and better than most with the touch system.

Overall, it looks very smart, and does a good job.

5.0 out of 5 stars Has held the interest of my children, 27 Nov 2014
This is a good toy, which my partner got for our two year old. She really likes it, but it is equally popular with our three year old daughter - there have been a few arguments about it!...

The toy is a really good size, and the characters that come with it are just the right size to be properly played with in small hands. They are not too small, so if they get chewed on or sucked they are unlikely to choke your child or cause harm.

Mrs Giraffe is the teacher, and she can be used to change the settings. These are break time, greeting, story time, free play and sharing time. The toy can also be altered in terms of loud volume or a quieter option.

My daughter has a very good imagination, and has used the characters, monkey, turtle and tiger to create lots of play scenarios. The toy is great for using the imagination. It also familiarises a child with the concept of nursery or school.

Overall, a good toy.

5.0 out of 5 stars Nice bright toy, 27 Nov 2014
This review is from: Galt Wiggly Worm (Toy)
The Galt Wiggly Worm is a nice toy that will keep your little one entertained whilst on the move or in their crib / cot.

The toy ism fairly soft and it is lovely bright colours, which makes it ideal for the youngest of children.

There are three toys hanging off the main worm. There is a ladybird which has an inbuilt mirror, a butterfly which makes a crinkle noise when played with, and a bee which is a rattle.

The toy is easy to attach to most things, using the ties on the toy.

This toy was a great success with my second daughter and even though she is probably a little old for it now, it still accompanies her to bed every night.

5.0 out of 5 stars Child really likes it, 26 Nov 2014
I have a three year old who is absolutely obsessed with cooking and making things in the kitchen, so when she received this from granny she was really pleased. There is huge potential for imaginative play and she has spent hours creating her perfect concoctions. It is a really nice set!

Conveniently, it also comes with a bag in which you can store the pieces. We have got quite strict about this, and she has got really good at tidying everything up (not just this) as a result.

It's a really nice construction set and in our case has kept a small child entertained for long periods of time.

5.0 out of 5 stars Hours of entertainment, 26 Nov 2014
This Scalextric set provides hours of entertainment for everyone (not just the children!...).

A young relative is very proud of this set - it was the first he was given. The micro Scalextric sets are really well suited to younger racers. The cars seem to be very sturdy and withstand a fair few knocks and bangs. Also, compared with the traditional Scalextric sets aimed at a slightly older audience, the cars stay on the track much more easily.

This is a fairly simple track layout and it isn't massive but I think it is just right for the younger people it is aimed at. My three year old daughter and the relative who owns this set have got the hang of micro Scalextrics very quickly and they can keep the children occupied for a couple of hours at a time - which at her age isn't bad!

There are lots of different options out there in the micro range - well worth a look.
