Maybe not Snap-On quality but a perfectly good set of sockets that would be good for most purposes. Very happy with them.

5.0 out of 5 stars OK - Its very good., 10 Jun. 2014

Being a very keen Japanese anime fan I always expect to be disappointed by Disney. The amazing highlights (alright, AMAZING highlights) of most Disney films are not often matched by good storytelling and character development to join up all the good bits, and I often feel they should have achieved much more with all that cash.

HAPPILY THIS IS NOT ONE OF THOSE DISNEY FILMS

It was a roller-coaster of getting virtually everything right from beginning to end and really showed that, at their extraordinary best, Disney can give the Japs a run for their money.

I won’t go into the excellent detail other reviewers have already covered but just offer one piece of advice.

WATCH IT.

5.0 out of 5 stars Decent Tool for the Price, 31 May 2014

This isn't a professional quality puller (which would cost much more) but for occasional use it is a pretty solid piece of kit with some surprisingly solid metal in it that should do its job perfectly well most of the time.

I was disappointed that it couldn’t get the rear wiper arm off my Yaris but, to be fair, it had a really good try. In fact the wiper arm bush was so jammed that even my mechanic with proper kit couldn’t remove it either and had to cut it off. This item may have failed but it failed where infinitely more expensive professional pullers failed as well.

I have no doubt that it would do a perfectly good job on wipers, battery terminals etc that weren’t corroded completely solid so it gets a place in my tool kit and five stars.

3.0 out of 5 stars Falls Between Two Stools, 9 May 2014

This is watchable but it takes too many liberties with what is not known as key elements of the plot. We do not know if JEH was actually gay and creating fictitious incidents to show that he was undermines the film as a true story. If the truth was known it would undoubtedly be a fascinating story - but this isn't the truth or even a reasonable supposition.

JEH was a mysterious, complex and contradictory man - but this isn't his story. Its just a watchable film about a fictitious character loosely based on J Edgar Hoover. Expect some decent acting and a followable (if not entire coherent) plot - but there are no insights here. An entirely fictional story about someone vaguely like JEH would probably be a much better film.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good Solid Set of Metric and Imperial Allen Keys, 9 May 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Maybe not Snap-On quality but a perfectly good set of metric and Imperial Allen keys in a basic but strong plastic case. The keys are decently made and finished and of a very useful length. I didn't realise how many were in the set until I felt the weight. There is a lot of steel in this item. All sizes are clearly marked in the case.

I got fed up with Allen keys on a ring because you can never tell which size they are (or which sizes are missing). A set on a ring will do for most purposes but a proper boxed set will never let you down because it has a lot of sizes and you know if anything is missing. For £10 a bargain.

This scraper gets the balance between the rigidity needed to scrape and the flexibility to conform to curves about right. Very please with it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Scraper, 9 May 2014

The combination of a plastic and steel scraper is very useful. Used these for years. I only buy new ones when I've lost one (none have ever worn out - except for the replaceable blade).

TIP: For many purposes you don't need the steel blade to be razor sharp - just sharp. If you turn the blade over from time time it will maintain a pretty sharp edge for ages.

5.0 out of 5 stars Surprisingly Useful, 28 April 2014

Strong enough to do the business but flexible enough to bend into curves. I would suggest two improvements. Make the shorter straightish side actually straight and put a bevel all the way around - thus giving two straight scraping edges (one long, one short). But even without these this is a good product.

5.0 out of 5 stars At Good As The Original Product, 15 April 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I have used several types of bags by this company for several years (four types - from small to large) and they seem to work just as well as the makers' bags. They aren't exactly the same but they fit and work perfectly.

One advantage of cheaper bags is that can afford to change them more regularly.

Also, with some non-reusable paper bags you can always open the bottom of the bag, empty it and either staple or clip the bottom back together for a second or even third use (provided the pores aren't so blocked that it prevents the air passing through easily).

I far prefer paper bags (even re-used once or twice) to the permanent cloth bags you can sometimes buy to replace them. In my experience cloth bags do not filter as well as paper bags.

As with all vacuum cleaners, always check the airways and permanent filters from time to time. I have often seen vacuum cleaners so blocked that it is obvious that they have been redistributing rather than cleaning for some time (especially when in communal use).

5.0 out of 5 stars Good Idea BUT..., 15 April 2014
I don't know if its just my can but I get the impression that the lubricant is not under the same pressure as the ordinary can. In addition the spray (ie with the straw folded down) is more of a jet than the atomised spray. I like the product but if what I have is anything to go by you still need the old cans for generally spraying things or a strong jet from the (old-style detachable) straw, while the new can is more for less forceful directed application.

A possible reason for lower pressure (if this is the case generally) could be that the rotating valve that switches from "spray" to straw can’t handle the normal pressure without leaking lubricant over the user's hand.

A possible reason for the “spray” being more like a jet is that the stray has to pass through rotating valve before it emerges – so its more like using a half-inch straw than a normal aerosol spray.

The weakness seems to be that the old-fashioned aerosol valve (as found in every aerosol can) has been refined to the point where it can handle high pressure. The new rotating valve, that switches from “spray” to jet can’t handle that sort of pressure and so the can has had to had to have its pressure lowered to allow for this.

But still, a good product so long as you regard is a useful alternative to, and not a replacement for, the old (and more feisty) can and straw. It is much more convenient for general use.
