Great read for any tennis fan, 13 Sep 2011
I must admit, when I found out that Rafa had a ghost writer involved in this I had my doubts, but through the obvious translatory subsequences there lies here a real essence of Rafael Nadal. This book is a first, in that Nadal is famously private despite his very public presence, yet in the opening pages the reader learns of every important person in Nadal's life.
This is a very personal book, not like 'Open' but, still, a genuine journey through Nadal's career so far, and starts cleverly with the 2008 Wimbledon final. Immediately, the reader is drawn into the psyche of a successful, professional yet human athlete and much of that is down to the eloquent writing of John Carlin.
Buy this book, curl up on the sofa, or in bed, and enjoy every word.........it's an excellent read
