This is a factual account of a forced life of slavery. It appalled and shocked me, while managing to pull at my heart strings. After suffering so much, this kind natured man proceeded to be positive and determined right til the end. Truly an amazing, heart wrenching and eye opening read.

The BFG is as good now as it was when I first read it over 15 years ago. Will always love Dahl.

after reading the first book, I hoped the spelling and grammar would've improved. very disappointing display of writing. story is lovely and heartwarming but lacks depth...

2.0 out of 5 stars Written by a teenager?, 23 Jan 2014

I felt this book was aimed at teenagers, which I did not expect. it was written in such a juvenile style which was nice in a reminiscent way, but grammatically, it was just ridiculous. There was obviously no proof reading done. Normally spelling errors would not bother me so much, but they were relentless, at some points taking the attention away from the plot entirely. Let's hope the authors spelling improves in her other books.
