My grand father was in the royal horse artillery , and his gun fired the first shot in the relief of the secret city. (Peking) I remember this film from way back and it is excellent, the DVD was perfect. Good service from the czech puirveyor and a pleasant postcard of presumably his home city. A pleasure to do business with as they say. John Falkner.

No need for dialogue in this funny silent film. Some much loved actors involved many no longer with us. Fabulous.

Being a climber myself I used to get this book regularly from the library, when I was about 15 years old. Am now 76 and the book still holds its appeal. Well written and crammed with information.

The book was alright but the style and substance wasn't what I was expecting' I thought it was written like a police report and given the material could have been more interesting.

Made whilst the war had only just ended this is the most authentic portrayal of the Americans in Britain ever produced. The air base itself with its nissen huts and dreary East Anglia landscape gives an indication of what the aircrews war was like. The black and white tones of the film only accentuate the harshness of their life. Gregory Peck dominates, but all the actors contribute to what is my favourite air war film. You could be there.
