5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing television, 11 July 2012
Cannot add much more than has already been said about this TV.
The best picture you can get for this price, so easy to use, rock solid performance, if anything the more its used the better it is becoming picture wise.
Wireless a doddle, super BBC HD Iplayer, Plays all my USB films

Blue Ray amazing picture, agree about watching all those films again.

Recommended

Just wish Panasonic would make their 24inch sets with the same wireless LAN and have the same menu structure

5.0 out of 5 stars 2012 model does everthing it needs to do very well, 25 Jun 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Ordered last week, arrived in two days, watch what the price you pay as it fluctuates quite a bit as stock is low.

Good looking set, photos dont do it justice, very slim and light. Viewing angle and HD Freeview picture quality superb, auto tune easy and lastly plays every file I have tried from the USB so it ticks all my boxes so to speak.
Needed to upgrade my cheap aerial wires to stop pixilating so I guess it has a sensetive tuner or my old cables were very poor.

300 may a be a lot to pay for a bedroom tele, but with the quality of the picture and the USB media player its hard to fault.

3.0 out of 5 stars Rubbish - not plug and record - but use itunes, 10 Mar 2011
Bought this to do as others have said to transfer recording from tape to mp3

Well you load up the software (audacity) press record and the start your tape

Stop the tape easy you have a WAV file, now you tell me where it is advertised that you need to have a degree in IT to change this file to mp3 format.
Why did they not state this in the adverts and why for the love of god did they not include the conversion app linked or even stated that you need to use another app to convert

not a happy purchase

EDIT
After three hours of trying I finally fixed it, simple as can be
Export your recording as a WAV file to desktop
Cut into Itunes and the convert to MP3 via itunes works a dream, only three stars as this is so simple it should be in the instructions as a 5 steps to mp3 from wav

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent guitar led album, 21 May 2010

Listened to this a few times solid, end to end.
A great album for any minds fan. It does have a 120bmp tempo on some tracks which is great, you can imagine the moves by Jim live. Bowie ness comes through too.
Sure Charlie ain't here but the strength of the lyrics and production more than makes up for it. You
have to take your hat off to Jim for making this, there are some sublime momments to go with the catchy riffs and choruses.
A good purchase, play it loud

5.0 out of 5 stars Epic Minds album, 21 April 2009

Heard most of the tracks on both cd's. A truely sensational peice of work from the boys.
Eddie's bass features prominantley on a few tracks, Moscow Underground, Starrs will lead the Way, Rockets and This is It being the more single orientated.
The other tracks are pure class, as others have said they grow on you.
Cant wait to see these performed live in the new tour.

As for the covers album, somewhat wary after previous efforts on this front, but my god how good a job have they done, who else could do as good a job on The Fall's track and the Neil Young song.

Will the mainstream pick up on it, who knows, Rockets is as good a pop song as any of the recent U2 stuff. But this aint about who's better its about a great album that old heads will love and new fans will be amazed by.

Thoroughly recommended.

5.0 out of 5 stars Truely hidden gem, 31 Oct 2008
Was a big fan of Tears for Fears back in the 80's and 90's but missed this album as I was into american house music in a big way.
Now as my musical tastes have matured, I dont listen to what I heard on the the last Saturday night out, I am coming back to the bands I loved then. Street Fighting Years by Simple Minds being a prime example.
The amazon reviews have helped with my purchase.
This album is fantastic, the song writing and, as the other reviewers have stated, the more you listen then more you are drawn in. It has a real depth to it and the productiion and arrnagements are very tight.
The first three songs are superb, love Falling Down and Secrets. The album then takes a different tact, with a few low key numbers again great to drive to or chill with, espcially with a couple of toddlers in the car.
Oletta Adams makes a welcome return for a very emotional song.
I cannot recommend this album enough, if you were a fan back then and missed it, it does stand the test of time and if released today would sell very well.
Wonder how many more hidden gems are out there I missed, thanks Amazon reviewers!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great value sound system, 11 Sep 2008
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Ordered last week, arrived last night.
Very easy to set up, looks the part sat under my Sony HXD DVD Freeview recorder and Bravia TV.
I have it hooked up as follows, DAV 280 to HXD890 via digital coaxil for 5.1 sound then HDMI from HXD to TV. That way I can have digital sound from DVD, normal TV and anything I recorded on the Hard Drive. Plus the Optical is still spare for PS3 or SKY. My TV only has one HDMI, if you have more then there are plenty of connection options.
Cracking sound and upscaling capabilites for 130.
Only minor point would be a auto tune on the radio instead of going through each memory one by one and then change to suit. DAB would also be a bonus but thats being picky.
Hopefully this will help people set their's up if they only have one HDMI port on the TV.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great Alarm Functions, Good sound, and time thats stays on!, 14 Jan 2008
It came down to a choice between the In-Tempo and this.
Having read the reviews on here and elsewhere I decided that the two issues with the In-Tempo, time light and loud alarm volume, were ones I couldn't live with.
I went for the iDock and I am very pleased. The functionality of the alarm is ideal. The DAB crystal clear and the ipod docking great.
You can set one of four alarms, each with their own preset, volume and source.
The sleep button is excellent with the lowest volume on the unit ideal for dead of night listening whilst you drop off.
If you want a sound dock probably then there are better ones around but if you main driver is the alarm function with DAB and IDock then this is recommended.
The sound quality so far for me is very good, its a bedroom unit after all
