2.0 out of 5 stars One for young teenagers - far from his best, 23 April 2012
This is a disappointing book from one of my favorite authors. It is written in the first person using short and simple sentences. Although the book is nearly 300 pages long it is written in large text with double spacing and lots of gaps; why does each chapter have to start with a few words in very large font? Really this book is more of a short story and could really fit into a 100 pages. Might be OK if you're 13 or 14 and never read his books before but definitely not pitched at an adult reader and a big disappointment for any Myron Bolitar fans. Come on Coben - we know you can do better than this! Did you use a ghost writer? Where is your career as an author going - you better make you mind up but frankly much more like this and you will have lost me as a fan.

2.0 out of 5 stars Boring with poor dialogue and plot, 26 July 2011
Have just read this book and have to say that Saul David may well be a good historian but he is a very poor novelist. Not a patch on Bernard Cornwell, Conn Iggulden or Simon Scarrow. Very stilted and poor dialogue with a simple plot. Does not build the characters into believable people. Does not build tension. All in all a poor novel.

4.0 out of 5 stars Philips 7" photo frame - a couple of changes and near perfect, 5 Feb. 2010
Bought this as a present for my aged parents. Loaded photos onto a 4Gb USB stick including old scanned black & white photos. All 'easy peasy' and parents found it no problems to use. Photo quality is very good - like the way it changes from one image to the next. Only minor criticism is that I couldn't work out how (or if) you can change the time before it moves onto the next photo. Seems to be preset at about 5 seconds and that is too quick when wanting to look at a group photo to pick out individuals. If this could be changed then that would be great. Only other comment is that, with hindsight, perhaps should have gone for a larger display. 7" is fine when you are close to the frame or holding it in your hand but when say on a shelf or at a distance of say 6' or more then really the display size should be bigger. Overall plenty of features and quality is excellent - value for money compared to others I looked at. If Philips can tell me how to adjust the default time between images then I'll be very happy.
