We had this to replace one that broke after 2 months - a different make. This one doesn't get so messy and the milk comes straight off when you clean it. the whisk idea in the base is genius and if you don't put too much milk in you don't even need to put the lid on. I actually find you get better froth if you use less milk.

a superb buy - would have another when this one gives up; but going strong so far.

5.0 out of 5 stars A cracking player, 18 Dec 2012
I purchased this as i wanted a unit without any ports on the front. I already have the micro 2 and 3 which are both good units but they look messy on my audio unit with usb sockets on the front and hence external drives visible.

I haven't installed a hard drive but run a 500mb drive through it. I've found the unit to be superb. I originally for my sins purchased another make of a similar price but i found my yamaha amp remote interfered with it. Made a wise decision and reordered this instead.

The unit isn't small but has very good lines and one light on the front. It has played all video files that i've thrown at it and is very responsive to the remote. What impressed me most is the unit's ability to realise when a file has a dts soundtrack and automatically feed it to the amp.

A superb piece of kit and at under £40 without a hard drive how can you go wrong.

5.0 out of 5 stars Faultless, but give them a good source, 26 Nov 2012

Can't understand why What Hi-Fi gave the 350's 5 stars and these 4 stars as the only difference is the controls on the 450's. Anyway enough of that, these headphones are in a different league from the ones provided with you phone/mp3 player. I use mine with a Galaxy S2 after ditching the original headphones and a cheaper pair of Denon headphones that i originally purchased for around £15 - just too cheap.

Give them a few hours to bed in and they will reward you with a rich sound, excellent clarity and separation. the fit is brilliant although i do find the volume control weight can pull a little on the right one - easily fixed, just wrap the cord around a shirt/jacket button and the wont move at all. The build quality is awesome from the one piece aluminium earpiece to the braided cord cables - they just ooze quality and are very discrete to look at. That might put some people off but to me the sound quality was the most important thing i wanted, and i got it in spades.

As for the passive noise isolation, find the right size buds (of which there are 7 pairs included)and once you're playing music you will hardly notice any traffic noise - great for your lunch time walk - just watch the traffic. For me the pair that came fitted were the best fit. You will need patience to change the buds as they are very tight (hence the good isolation) but worth the effort.

Regarding the source of the music, i used an old Galaxy Ace for a couple of weeks whilst my S2 was being repaired and the music didn't sound particularly good. I almost forgot how good the 450's were until i got the S2 back then again i was blown away. You can get good sound from a poor source whatever you use but give these a good output and they will amaze you.

The 450's are made for the Apple clan so even though they work with Android, the only button that works on mine is the pause/play one. If you don't have an i-phone you may consider the 350's which are £10 cheaper but either way you will not go wrong. Mind you, the button is handy to pause and you can also answer any incoming calls with it so i'm still happy to have these over the 350s.

Lastly i purchased these through Amazon from the manufacturers, RHA and they have been nothing short of superb with their after service - i thought one of my ear buds supplied was the wrong size and without any issue they posted me another set of seven, even though i only asked for one large replacement - can't fault that for service.

All in all 5 very easily deserved stars!!

4.0 out of 5 stars Less about Duran Duran, more about growing up, 24 Oct 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
A nice read with a few mentions about Duran Duran; however the book is actually about more about the author's youth and his growing up in the states. Some of the music tracks mentioned i've not heard of, and i love the 80's.
A nice read though and it gave me a few chuckles.

Glasses were for a fancy dress party. The arms are very short - my wife can just about wear them but for me the arms finished before my ears.

Would only recommend for a child to wear.
