5.0 out of 5 stars Great Stories, 21 Dec. 2012
This is a collection of fun stories about Kilbey Salmon and Co. Set in London, Kilbey, is an ex Watchman, with a time travelling black cab and an A-Z map which includes routes through time...

Full of unusual and good ideas, this book manages to be well written, humorous and exciting with great plots and characters who keep you wanting more! I highly recommend you give this author a chance, as this is a captivating read.

I discovered him recently and have since read everything I can find by him, check it out, you won't be disappointed.

4.0 out of 5 stars Very Practical Guide to Tissue Salt Therapy, 18 July 2011
I really like this practical guide to facial analysis and tissue salts. Sometimes it can be hard to understand from a description what people mean. A picture shows you, so you don't need to imagine or guess.. The author has done the world a great service in taking the time to put together some photos to illustrate how different tissue salt deficiencies affect the look of the face and provide a great introduction to facial analysis. A valuable resource for anybody interested in tissue salts and facial analysis. I am not so sure about the relationships of tissue salts to star signs as this tends to get a airy fairy but overall this is a great book.

3.0 out of 5 stars it does fit in the bag, 18 July 2011
I have the mypack and accompanying tripod and although I don't think its brilliant, it does fit in the bag despite what the previous reviewer said. You do have to loosen the ball head and turn it on the side but it most definitely fits in the bag, that much I can promise. The tripod itself is pretty good but it struggles to hold a dslr and reasonable long lens, it will stay still but you will have to adjust it after tightening the head, which isn't ideal. Not bad for the money - I paid £59 for both delivered and its a neat combination but the quality is a little lacking, still you get what you pay for and for the price paid I can't really complain.

3.0 out of 5 stars Worth reading if you play live poker - otherwise maybe not, 3 Dec. 2007
It's quite an old book with the black and white pictures but it does contain a lot of useful information for the serious live player and is considered by many to be a classic. It is a book which if you are serious about making a living from playing poker, is a must have, but for your average internet or `home game' player, it might not be worth the money.

In the book he covers a large number of physical tells which although mostly fairly obvious are useful to have highlighted so you can be on the lookout for them. I would be willing to bet that most all of the final table players at WSOP events have taken the time to read it at some time in the past.

I wasn't gripped by this book, however, the information is solid and will help you get that slight edge when trying to get a read on another player. It's certainly not my favorite read but once I had got over its slightly sexist and racist generalizations of how race and gender affects how you play poker I did come away with a better set of tools to use when looking for tells from opposing players.

5.0 out of 5 stars Quality Poker Book, Difficult concepts made easy..., 3 Dec. 2007
For anyone who doesn't know who Dan Harrington is he won the main event at the World Series of Poker in 1995 and reached the final table in both 2003 and 2004. He has been at the top of the game for over 20 years. This is the first volume in his poker series and is a wonderful tool for the aspiring tournament player. The chapters are clearly set out and he covers some quite complex poker theory in a clear and easily understandable language. The book is especially good because like a textbook it has end of chapter problems, these help test your understanding of the material covered and helps make sure you have in fact mastered the previous topic.

The only words of warning I would give are that this is just the first book in his series and it doesn't cover all the bases such as; heads up play, or playing at the final table. So you will have to buy his second volume if you want to know more. This is a terrific book for both beginner and advanced players as he makes difficult concepts seem so straight forward and easy but it is a book solely aimed at helping you improve at tournament poker and therefore some of the topics covered will not be relevant if your are searching for a book on cash game play.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good Piece of Kit, 12 Nov. 2007
= Durability:5.0 out of 5 stars  = Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars  = Educational:5.0 out of 5 stars
Great bit of kit, sturdy construction and enough chips to keep all but the highest rollers happy.

For home poker games there are enough chips to keep everybody happy and the stylish case means that the tidy freaks out there should suffer any severe spasms... and believe me having 500 chips lose does tend to make a bit of a mess... the case has saved many arguments in our house as my girlfriend is exactly crash hot on poker...

We've had our set for about 4 months now and all seems tickety boo, good stuff and reasonably priced.
