5.0 out of 5 stars A perfect camping accessory, 23 May 2012

Most camping water carriers are around the 10lt mark which is too much for my needs but I found the 4lt here perfect. The tap rotates for easy storage and the open top design makes filling and emptying it a simple task. The hanging loop is sturdy and the whole product feels so.

Does the job at a great price. Cheap enough if you want to cut it down a bit to save space and weight.

5.0 out of 5 stars very nice to eat from, 23 May 2012
A Ti spork might be a bit of luxury but it's really nice to eat from, folds up neatly and is easy to clean. It's lightness just adds to the charm.

4.0 out of 5 stars just about does the job, 23 May 2012
As a lightweight and cheap mat this is great, just don't expect any comfort though. It was a little cold at about 5c but if you can put up with a little discomfort and dress warm it's a good value mat and it's quite adequate in warm summer nights.

Compared to foam mats it's better value as it saves space and weight, I find that foam mats don't give any comfort anyway.

4.0 out of 5 stars Tough enough, 23 May 2012
This cookset has it all: robust, large capacity and versatile. The stove itself isn't good for anything more than boiling small amounts of water but the mugs are great for general purpose eating and drinking. The non-stick coating flakes off easily so I'd get the stainless steel option next time and don't use it with the plastic lid on a fire. The bottle is excellent as is the way the mugs fit around it.

4.0 out of 5 stars Pricy but worth it, 23 May 2012
This tent is light as a feather and is easy to erect and pack away. This is the first good quality tent I've owned and it'll certainly add much comfort to my bike camping trips.

It has bags of porch space that goes the full length of the tent, I could fit one other pannier bag besides my own gear and still had room to spare. The inner makes maximum use of the tent's footprint and the door is a clever vertical design and has plenty of room to get changed in, at least for those of us under 6 feet tall.

It's lost a star because of the fiddly pole rain cover. It seems to be a bit of an afterthought but I guess it would need to stand up it some mean conditions and it could probably cope just fine in average UK summertime rough weather.

4.0 out of 5 stars Camping luxury, 23 May 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I go bike camping so size and weight is crucial to me. I've dabbled with other stools and sit mats but this is camping comfort at another level. I have the 50cm basic.

The stool folds up neatly and is small and light enough to go almost almost anywhere so it never feels a burden for the benefit it provides.

when extended it's tall enough to sit at a table but the value is when you use it folded up. I used it in quite soft ground and it sank in when extended. Folded up, I made quite a dent but I was still comfortable. the fact you can swing about on it means you can adjust your sitting position to ease a sore back or stretch your legs. It takes a bit of skill to get on and off (beware when drunk!) but you can still talk to people next to you who may be sitting on the ground without towering over them. It's also handy for tinkering with the bike.

I've knocked a star off because the legs will sometimes extend if hanged from the added loop. I like the loop but the end result is impractical. A cheapo bag would have been welcome and retained the star. Otherwise this is a great value stool which should me last some time.

At first the lantern may look a bit bulky for the amount of light it throws out but it's worth it for the extra weight. The candle is a lovely addition to night time camping activities as it delivers just enough light to see by. The warm quality of candle light is perfect for when the sun goes down

i have the unit with the LED light on the bottom and it was excellent suspended beneath a tarp illuninating the BBQ and a wide peripheral area, it can be removed from the lantern housing and has a little stand attached. brilliant thinking. The 9hr candle lasted 3 late nights in May but I also bought the 12hr beeswax candles for those longer trips.

The spring method of the lantern is genius, it was knocked about a few times and some wax spilt down the inside but it didn't affect the operation much beyond slowing the spring a little. A quick clean with hot water after the candle was spent and it was good to go.

It's one of those items that's full of charm and adds that special touch to any camping trip

I was very surprised at the small size of the X-mini II and even more so at the sound quality produced by such a small object. The audio is meaty with the smart bass expansion adding lots of depth. The design is very nice and it feels solid. It's got the built in audio cable, which is handy but next to useless if you want to use it as the aerial for a radio. The supplied usb/phono lead could be used as an aerial but I haven't tried yet as I've got a small extension that serves the radio well.

The LED 'on' light is on the bottom, a very nice thought if you want to use it for camping or when in bed and don't want the LED illuminating the room or shining in your eyes.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great value for money!, 6 Mar 2010

Well worth the money for under a tenner with delivery and works well with Roxio and probably most other consumer video editing software but for those who want to capture from an analogue source for little money this makes a decent choice.
