5.0 out of 5 stars Just bought it, 12 May 2003
This review is from: Good Mourning (Audio CD)
Possibly best Alkaline Trio album since 'Maybe I'll catch fire'. Don't confuse this band with any standard pop-punk, this album is more inventive, darker, but still relishes from hook melodies and great musicianship. Buy this

right, lets sort this out.
FACT NUMBER 1: this is the second best album in my collection, which is 300+
FACT NUMBER 2: as soon as i bought this, i bought all their other cds, and never, NEVER, have i found a band with such diversity and amazing tunes in their albums
FACT NUMBER 3: the lyrics on this album are truly brilliant, touching, sardonic, yet conveying meaning.
now buy this f*cking album- matt skiba has one of the best voices around, and in my opinion this band have the smartest, yet often simple tunes. and sound all the better for it

5.0 out of 5 stars This is truly stunning, 16 Jan 2002
This review is from: Thriller (Audio CD)
I had though I would never find another band that would touch my emotions so deeply as Jimmy Eat World or the Get Up Kids, but this.........oh my god. Like all superb albums, on first listening I knew this was damn good, but it just keeps getting better. Similar to JEW, the melodies are sometimes fairly simple, and all the better for it. Jonah's voice is spellbinding. If anyone else sang the songs he sings, it would just be embarassing. Please, for own sake buy this album- if it doesn't stir up emotion in you, then you must be dead.

5.0 out of 5 stars Absolutely Brilliant, 15 Jan 2002
This is one of the most impressive pieces of literature I have ever read- it is moving, touching, exciting, and ultimately rewarding. Although people may be wary that this book won the Booker Prize 2001, this book has now found a way to my heart, and will stay there for years to come. It is brilliantly written, similar in style to 'Angela's Ashes', and is weel worth buying. If you like your books to be of exceeding quality, then buy it. If not, your loss

This album is hot!!!!! if you want faster pop-punk, then buy this, cos it is pop-punk at its best. however, if you, like me, love bands such as the ataris, jimmy eat world, the get up kids, alkaline trio etc. then you should try out their new one first, as i personally think its better. anyhow, this one rules.

5.0 out of 5 stars Stunning!!!!, 1 Nov 2001
This is quite simply brilliant. Even though it has 5 songs on, I would definetely pay full price for this. If you are fans of such bands as The Ataris, Jimmy eat World, New Found Glory, or basically any pop-punk, emo-punk, you will LOVE this. I just cannot praise this enough. 'Nothing's Gonna Stop Us Now' is possibly one of my favourite songs of all time, and you do not think for a moment that these guys are only 16!!!!Buy this, for your own sake!!!
