5.0 out of 5 stars Works well considering the size, 27 Jan. 2014

So small it ought to have "choking hazard" printed on the packaging, this worked fine for powering the Pi. It has an obnoxiously bright LED which flashes during operation, which may or may not be desirable.

Not much to add really. Arrived quickly and works perfectly well in the Raspberry Pi. However, given the widespread reports of SD card corruption you may prefer to get a smaller, cheaper one and use it to boot to a USB stick.

It's compact and means can power the Pi directly, saving you the need for a second plug socket. My Xbox 360 wireless controller dongle didn't work when plugged in to the hub, but does work when plugged directly into the Pi. Everything else works fine though, and I don't think it's a power issue. I didn't get the cool retractable USB power cable though.

It's a block of aluminium with some holes cut into it and a sticky pad on the bottom. Very straightforward to apply. I put it on immediately after I got the Pi so I don't have any numbers to compare it against, but with it on it doesn't go above 40 degrees under load.
