The Brawn Story: The Man and the Team That Turned Formula 1 Upside-down
The Brawn Story: The Man and the Team That Turned Formula 1 Upside-down
by Christopher Hilton
Edition: Paperback

2.0 out of 5 stars Very dissappointing, 29 Mar. 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
A very short section describing Ross's history, which is domonated by quotes about him, another very short section on how Honda morphed into Brawn, again dominated by quotes, the remainder of the book, about two thirds of it, is almost a lap by lap description of Jensons world champianship season. A big let down.

2.0 out of 5 stars You get what you pay for, 10 Sept. 2011
This kit is also sold with JCB branding, unfortunately both the tools and the case are not very good quality. The case locking tabs failed very quickly and anything other than very light use of the screwdrivers damaged them. If you plan anything other than occasional use of this kit I would recommend spending a bit more money on a make such as Stanley, Draper or Silverline

2.0 out of 5 stars A chance missed, 15 July 2011

This review is from: Life in the Fast Lane (Paperback)
I was very much looking forward to this book, a biography of one of the most charismatic figures in F1 but I feel it is a chance missed. The book seems to have no structure and is effectively just a collection of interviews with people in Eddies life. Eddies own contribution is much less than would be expected. Also, the book was written while Eddie was in contention for the 1999 championship so is very out of date. There is nothing about Eddies life post F1.
On the plus side, it gives a great insight into the mentality of the Ferrari team in the Schumacher era.

5.0 out of 5 stars Quality, 26 Jan. 2010
I have owned a Gerber 600 for over 10 years now and it has had some pretty heavy duty use. The knife needs sharpening occasionally and it is on it's 3rd belt pouch, apart from that it is as good as the day it was purchased. It is an absolute quality bit of kit and I would not be without it at work or in the great outdoors on our shooting, fishing, hiking and camping trips.

5.0 out of 5 stars Invaluable!, 29 Jan. 2009

If you do any photo restoration work this book is an absolute must, the author takes you through basic techniques used in restoration to how to handle a complete project. The writing style is simple and very easy to follow , with no annoying Kelby like comments! and there are colour illustrations through out. This is not the book for you if you use CS3 for creative purposes. 10 out of 10, it does exactly what it says on the label.

5.0 out of 5 stars The new Asimov, 2 July 2006
Hamilton seems to get better with each publication, Pandora's Star followed by Judas Unchained has to be the best pure science fiction story ever told.

An absolutely brilliant book, highly imformative and easy to read, an essential purchase for anyone considering taking up astronomy and extremely useful for the experienced amateur. I cannot recommend this book highly enough.
