It is still a rare event to find a well written book in the free section on Kindle, so that when I read one I am not only pleasantly surprised but I devour it ferociously!

The plot is well thought out, revealing just the right amount of information at the right time to keep a reader engrossed. Despite the long chapters, the syntax helped the story to flow smoothly. But the greatest achievement for this author, seems to be his portrayal of the main character. The Prince, is foolish, irritating, predictable, conflicted, caring, gracious ... Well you get the picture! All the characters are believable, human & people
we want to know.

The real question is do I like it enough to buy the next book?

The Azhaion Saga goes from strength to strength as Kaeden continues his tale.

In the forword, Kaeden apologizes for not recapping any of the first book, I, for one, am very glad that he doesn't spend valuable story time on such a stupid endeavour. If people are too lazy to read the first book, then that is their fault; it is not the author's duty to recap what has gone before.

The characters are just as good, the joining of different story strands is flawless, the narrative style works well & the reader is still left wanting more. I can't wait for the next one.

It is a rare event to find a free book on Kindle of this quality. I am so glad I found this one.

The characters are bold, engaging & not necessarily the ones most authors would have chosen as main points of view; but Tavish Kaeden pulls it off admirably.

The plot is complex but still fast paced & captivating. The ending whilst lacking any grand battle, or failing to bring a satisfactory conclusion to the various threads; does leave the reader desperately wanting more. I won't say anything else as I don't want to spoil it for future readers.

Believe me, this book is crying out to be published by a major publishing company. Read it for yourself and you'll see what I mean.

A lovely, well written story that keeps a reader captivated.

The only complaint is it is really one book not three, I wish I knew there was an omnibus edition before I bought the first one separately!

A very well written, fast paced adventure that was more to do with character building than a complicated plot.

My only complaint is that it was too short! It ended at what felt like a halfway mark. Having said that, I am just about to buy the next book which is a rare occurrence for me on Kindle!

The story is captivating and not the normal 'obscure boy finds his magic & identity', though that is in essence what happens. There are dark elements to the tale, that give the avid fantasy reader some hope of an entertaining read.

However, I found the syntax too jarring on numerous occasions; and the poor Kindle formatting seemed to be extreme in this book. A pity as I found myself wanting to like certain characters, but was held back by the poor character building techniques used.

Just as good as the first one, scrap that, no, it's better. Despite the much darker plot line in this one, it still manages to keep its sense of humour, and though it has its cheesey moments there is more depth to the characters.

Just the usual issue with stupid spelling mistakes and the use of wrong words on occasion, seems to be a problem with Kindle formatting if you ask me. Otherwise well worth a read.

It might work for very young readers, but the language is so condescending that it'll annoy anyone over ten years old very quickly!

The story is alright & the plot is moved along quickly with a lot of action but the so called 'humour' is non existent, which makes the conversations fall flat much too often.

If you're seriously into fantasy, give this one a wide berth!

An enjoyable, fast paced, action filled story, that kept me hooked until the end.

I was really impressed with the characterization & development of the dragons. After reading the Pern chronicles it is hard to appreciate other authors interpretations of a dragon society. But the author here manages admirably to establish a believable system that differs from the Pern dragons enough whilst maintaining the necessary elements of dragon lore that most readers expect.

Well worth reading & since this book is free it should work to entice readers to buy the other books in the series.

A good easy read at a cracking pace. Like others though, I did find the ending a bit rushed. Without spoiling it for others, at least it wasn't a completely happy ending & it did leave a few questions that could be picked up in a sequel if the author thought it worth his while. Personally I wouldn't bother with a follow-up, but not bad for the price.
