4.0 out of 5 stars Good low energy alternative to 500w halogen, 10 Dec 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Fits nicely and gives a good light. They are not as bright as a 500w Halogen but they make a good work light without frying you if you are near them. I use two on a twin head site stand and they give a good even illumination 10 m away. They can take a while to come up to full brightness if the temperature is low but they start flicker free.

5.0 out of 5 stars Neat compact switch - portable enough to go in laptop bag., 10 Dec 2013

The switch is beautifuylly small compared with the old rotary ones. Case is serviceable if a little bendy so don't stand on it. Works well with modern high resolution projectors.

5.0 out of 5 stars Solid sharp and can be used with a lanyard, 10 Dec 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Good sturdy knife. Should make short work of even the toughest rope. Does not have a sharp point (safety feature).Marlin spike is sturdy and works well. Shakle key works with most dinghy fittings. Hoop lets you splice on a lanyard which could be handy because these knives don't float. Comes with black nylon holster that has a good belt loop that seems to go on most buoyancy aid belts.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great sound - good noise cancelling for most frequencies, 10 Dec 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Needs Android or similar tablet to control it and set equaliser. It does not work with PC even though the PC can handle the bluetooth headset protocol - Parrot don't seem to want to go there which is a shame because I'd also like to use this as a PC headset with the laptop.

Over ear design is comfy and gives good passive noise isolation. Active noise cancelling is good with engines but some vocal frequencies seem to come through as do some noises from clanking crokery (Stena Line premium lounge had a restaurant). I suppose it helps if there's someone trying to talk to you but maybe less use if there are noisey kids. It excells with the engine rumble and generally keeps the rest of the world out of your hair.

Neat sensor to pause the sound when you take them off and touch control for pause next/previous track and slide up/down for volume is great.

Wireless range is good and then there's the temptation to walk around but this seems to confuse the noise cancelling or the onboard mic for the headset function. If you walk about you hear a pounding sound with each footstep as the movement seems to come through as sound - might be ok with fluffy slippers instead of hard soled shoes.

Battery life is Ok for Ferry trips but might run out on a transatlantic flight. Active noise cancelling needs the battery but they will work as corded headphones on a flat battery. You could buy a spare battery but 30 seems expensive for standby use or fly in a Boeing with usb charging points.

Comfortable stylish and good at cutting out repetitive background machinery. Overall they have a quality feel.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good Case but no carabiner - some other similar products have them, 10 Dec 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
The case is robust and the headphones fit snugly. sadly the case has no strap/handle or carabiner to clip it onto your luggage. Neat internal zip case for cables but its not clear why there's a thin divider - it is held in place by two velcro patches which limit what you could put behind the divider.

5.0 out of 5 stars Handy short power cable, 30 Aug 2011
This handy little cable really helps keep the weight down if you travel to the US. Saves taking a bulky 2m UK powercord plus adaptor. Thinking of looking for a UK version to keep my laptop bag tidy.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great saw for wet or even dry branches, 6 July 2011
Arrived today and it cuts like a dream.

Cuts faster than a bow saw and can use it close to the main trunk. Works well with green timber but also makes short work of dead side branches.

Comfortable handle and a good reach.

Only down side it came in a massive box 600mm x 450mm x 150mm - without the box the postman might have got it through the letter box.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent cutter - not sure I'd say it is suitable as a toy, 23 Feb 2010
= Durability:5.0 out of 5 stars  = Fun:3.0 out of 5 stars  = Educational:3.0 out of 5 stars
Nicely packaged and cuts neatly. A big improvement on a knife and a straight edge.

There is a slight offset from the edge of the rule to the cut but with a little practice you can cut in the right place ;-)

It doesn't slide terribly smoothly. The nylon guides and aluminium rule do not glide easily. You have to be quite firm to get a single cut to work.

Looks durable and a big step up from the little plastic ones you can get elsewhere.
