5.0 out of 5 stars One of my favourite comedy shows of all time, 31 Mar 2010
This is one of the best Britcoms, and I am a very big fan of Tony Britton and Nigel Havers. Their interaction as father and son living together is the high point and, along with assorted other characters, this provides many laughs throughout each episode. I would recommend this very highly. I would also like to see the last four series [#3-6] released in the not too distant future.

5.0 out of 5 stars One of the best!, 10 Feb 2010
This is one of the best Britcoms around. It is fast moving and very funny - with a cast that you will come to adore. It also has its very touching moments at times - mostly evidenced in the relationship between Bren [Victoria Wood] and Tony. Once again, Victoria Wood is brilliant, and it is her character [Bren] that is responsible for keeping everything in order in an otherwise totally chaotic canteen. What I found most special about this comedy is that - even though it has its moments of over the top scenarios [witness Julia Walters as Bren's mom] there is something that is profoundly real in the relationships between the workers [there wasn't one character I didn't enjoy] - something that we can all relate to one way or another. I just finished watching the entire series and am planning on giving it another go in the not too distant future.
