I could not put this book down! It is brilliantly written and graphically describes the breakdown of communication in a marriage and the enactment of a revenge which is just breathtaking. You must read this book!

I have loved all the series of Mad Men. They brilliantly evoke the 50s and 60s period in terms of fashion, mores and manners, even to office smoking and drinking! Well worth watching.

I lived in Brasil for 20 years in my childhood and it evoked many happy memories of a beautiful, vibrant and exciting country. Michael Palin is a delightful "host" and his easy-going manner matched nicely with his environment. Pity he didn't mention football or Maracana stadium!

5.0 out of 5 stars User friendly for a technophobe!, 29 Feb 2012
I am a crossword fanatic and this little gadget is perfect for those hard-to-work-out clues. Also very good on spelling and alterative words. I'm 65 and find it very easy to use.

4.0 out of 5 stars OLD WORLD CHARM, 13 July 2010
I loved this book. It is well written and very informative, not just on the lives of the Curzon sisters, but also other major characters of the era (such as Churchill, the Windsors and Oswald Moseley) and the world-shaping events that took place at the time of the 2 World Wars and in between. The upper classes certainly lived very well, but my goodness, they were promiscuous!

5.0 out of 5 stars Up to her usual high standard, 29 Dec 2009
For all their gruesome subject matter, Ann Rule's books are always very well written and researched, informative and interesting in a morbid kind of way! I always enjoy reading her books - they are real page turners.
