2.0 out of 5 stars Very disappointed, 14 Jan. 2016

6 weeks into owning the Storm, I'm very disappointed.
I've experience a range of on-going problems, which mean I'm returning the phone for a refund.
From the screen going black for up to 7 hours, to the Screen going crazy when I insert my headphones. At times the problems were so severe I was unable to use the phone.

5.0 out of 5 stars An insightful read, 15 Jun. 2013

Warnock doesn't seem to have an axe to grind, his communication style is clear and simple, making the book accessible to all.
He communicates a lot on player personalities, with a reputation as a man-motivator you can tell he's got an eye for people and is able to quickly form an opinion of what makes people tick. His commentary on the Terry affair is helpful in clearing up what happened.

1.0 out of 5 stars A disappointing PR exercise, 18 Mar. 2010
I was hoping this would be up to the impressive standard of other books in the series; the fact it was written by Muslims also interested me. I've read a lot of the Quran and Hadith(s) so I thought this book could give me a more holistic overview of Islam.

Unfortunately it's little more than a PR exercise verging on propaganda. Like most religious books the Quran contains a lot of rules and philosophies that are unacceptable to modern societies, none of this is mentioned in the book, in fact there are few specifics about the Quran at all.
The entire book is little more than an onslaught of platitudes by what I assume are starry-eyed devotes of the religion.

The book should have been entitled "I love Islam".

1.0 out of 5 stars Immoral propoganda, 8 May 2008
This review is from: Collapse Of Atheism [DVD] (DVD)
Rather that a serious documentary this is a shameless piece of fundamentalist religious propaganda.

Rather than a serious review of atheism this DVD is better viewed as an excellent summary of poor fundamentalist religious logic and a dive into deep dishonesty. It is reminiscent of Ben Stein's recent anti-science movie "Expelled".

The immorality of this movie is profound as through its entire length the presenter continually lies about historical facts which are well documented.

For example: Despite the catholic church's vocal and practical support for European fascism in the early to mid-20th century and Hiter's and Stalin's rejection of Evolutionary theory this movie lays the blame for the destruction caused by those leader on evolution. Furthermore the movie outright misinforms the viewer about scientific facts.

Avoid this atrocity.

The God Delusion

5.0 out of 5 stars A clear and well-researched rational voyage, 4 Dec. 2006

This review is from: The God Delusion (Hardcover)
This book is packed with information and is worth a read if only to educate and raise your general awareness of biology, evolution and natural selection.

Dawkins is a Biologist and so he takes a scientific and rational approach to the subject of god and religion. The book is divided into several chapters, each takes a different theistic theme and subjects it to Dawkins' mind displaying a razor-like clarity and consistency of thought.

Dawkins applies some of the rigorous methodology one would expect from a research paper, he provides supporting evidence for his positions in double and triplicate; combined with his clear and concise writting style, the God Delusion is an exciting and sometimes humorous read.

Any theist or athesist would enjoy reading this book as it deals with a subject, that is normally taboo in polite conversation, in a way that is both measured and clear-of-thought.

I expect this book to become an all-time classic and may be used to symbolise a point of change in our perception of the world in a way that is not clear to us now.
