3.0 out of 5 stars REVIEW OF 4 PRODUCTS!, 7 Aug. 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Like the title says, I am reviewing 4 different products. These are (in order of performance)

1. Salactol Wart Paint 10ml
2. Bazuka Extra Strength Gel
3. Scholl Medicated Verruca 15 Medicated Discs
4. Scholl Freeze Verruca & Wart Remover

I've had several verrucas on my feet for well over 7 years. I've tried [4 - freeze verruca] before and it didn't work. At around jan 3rd 2012, I decided I wanted rid of them for good. I purchased all 4 products listed above and got to work. Today, 8 months later, my feet have healed and are completely verruca free. Here is my review on what you should buy.

DO NOT BUY [3] or [4]. They are the more expensive options, and you can never really tell if the thing is working properly anyway. Just forget about them. Go on - close down those firefox tabs.

So it is between [1] and [2]. Buy [1]. Review done... what you want more information? Why [1] and not [2]? Well because [1] is the cheapest option, it works fastest and is the easiest to clean off. [2] once dried in, can be a real pain to clean properly, and really painful too.

===

If you have verrucas on your feet, well expect to have a few months of pain. Especially when you are standing at the bus stop.

The process of application is pretty simple, apply the stuff - Clench your buttocks and swear - then, after 5-10 minutes, put on a plaster and hobble around. ( I'd really recommend applying this stuff before going to bed.. trust me )

The process of RE-application.. well I hope your pain threshold is high. The RE-application process changes as the wound advanced.

Beginning
1. You can tell what parts are the verruca virus, as they appear a horrible black colour, while the rest of the skin is white. [salactol kills the verruca and healthy skin too but the dead verruca is blackish]
2. Scrape off the black stuff with a razor blade and re-apply the salactol
3. Repeat this for about a week, or until you can no longer see the black stuff that EASILY COMES OFF.

Middle
1. This starts after about a week
2. you should see skin wanting to fall off by now, the salactol kills skin, eventually new skin grows underneath and the dead skin just wants to fall off
3. UNFORTUNETLY, the virus is normally still intact
4. Carefully cut the dead skin, and begin to peel it off around the virus (verruca) which should have a black/browny looking appearance
5. then scream as you start to peal away the dead part of the virus from the still alive part ( breaking what looks to be nerve connections.. well whatever it is its very painful, and i'd normally have to do a bit at a time )
6. admire the circular disc of dead skin with scabby stuff in the middle
7. do not eat.
8. RE-apply Salactol + Plaster

IMPORTANT! Re-apply salactol EVERY DAY, but ONLY repeat the cutting process once you see the skin WANTING to come off.. otherwise it is far.. FAR .. more painful.

The process is very much like peeling an onion, you will be slowly but surely cutting the virus down, slice by slice. You can tell that there is still a virus because the varruca has a spotted black dot appearance. So every time you go to cut off the skin, you should always see a spotted/scabby looking bit in the middle.

ENDING
1. You will know when you are at this stage, because the dead skin that WANTS to fall off, is beginning to be almost uniform in colour (white)
2. You will also know when you are at this stage, because suddenly the skin just peels off with no pain at all.
3. Re-apply salactol and repeat for 2 more weeks ( Just to be sure )

ENJOY YOUR VERRUCA FREE FEET!.

Buy salactol wart paint remover, it's the only thing that has killed my 7 year old warts, Bert and Ernie. It was painful to see them go, literraly, but i'm glad to get rid of them.

Note:

I never, EVER, saw blood during the entire process. If you do, you are likely peeling the skin/virus apart before it's properly dead.

I also have picture of what your feet will looking like during the 3month long operation. If you want the pictures uploaded, then comment on this and i'll post them.

5.0 out of 5 stars Will save money - not time., 7 Aug. 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
First off, I have very sensitive skin. If you do too, read this review.

**For those with short attention spans, if you have sensitive skin and you are on the fence about buying an electric shaver then just buy it. There is a learning curve, however it a great shave.**

Using a new 3-4 bladed razor was my only option to prevent awful skin burn and irritation spots. There in lies the problem, having to use 3-4 bladed razors generally meant that I had to use gillet series blades; at the prices they sell them at, I was easily spending £20-30 per month on blades.

I read through reviews of at least 10-20 shavers, and went on a hunt for the best shaver for a mid-range budget. This came up on top time and time again.

I'll split this review into four parts:
1. What is the learning curve like
2. What is the shave like
3. Wet or Dry
4. Pro's and Con's

---1. What is the learning curve like

Well.. painful. Expect some serious razor burn on your neck and chin area. There was actually one day that my face was still burning several hours after shaving. That being said, after around 3-4 weeks, you will notice a difference. Your face really does get used to shaving with it. I'm at week 6-7 now, and any razor burn I get is the same i'd expect using a NEW razor blade.

You will find certain areas of your face will be harder to shave than others, and this is integral to the learning process.

---2. What is the shave like

This ties into my title "Saves money, not time".

If you have 15 minute shaving time in the morning, which I personaly don't, you can get a fantastic shave. Honestly, it's on par with a razor blade!. Your face will feel smooth, and it'll take around the same length of time for the hair to start showing again.

If you only have 5-10 minutes you can get a good shave. It's smooth on the cheeks ( as they are easy to shave ), but you can feel a bit of "roughness" around the chin and especially the upper lip. You will not be able to see the stubble, just feel it. So it is perfectly acceptable to go into work with it and "look" clean-shaven. [THOUGH THIS TIMESCALE MIGHT BE BECAUSE I AM STILL LEARNING!]

2 minute shave will only remove the worst of the stubble, and you'll likely miss lots of areas.

---3. Wet or Dry.

Deffinately wet. Shaving with shaving cream is like heaven when using this shaver. A dry shave will only leave you feeling .. well dry. It's marketed as a "wet and dry", though i'd say it was designed for wet.

If you are looking to buy this for a dry shave then don't bother. Look for a shaver that was designed to work best in dry conditions.

---4. Pros and Cons

Pro's:
Looks great
Easy to clean
Fast charge
Long battery life
Possible to get a really good shave

Con's
Doesn't come with UK adapter, you will need to buy a 2pin-3pin adpater. Though, I think this is because most people shave in the bathroom and most bathrooms tend to have a 2pin socket on the wall for electric shavers??
Can struggle with stubble.. In areas where the hair lies completely flat, i'd recommend using the electric clippers to shorten the hairs before attempting to shave there.
Upper lip is very hard to properly shave, generally I have to use an good ol' gillet razor blade to give the upper lip a once over.
IN-GROWN HAIRS! Never had them before until I started to use this. I think it is before it pulls the hair UP before it cuts them, so on the neck where the hairs grow in random directions, it must cause the hair to grow under the skin. It's not a big deal, but it'll leave a red bump on the neck until you can pull the hair out.

========

If you have sensitive skin, and can't afford to continually purchase good quality blades, then buy this. It'll save you money in the long term and it really does give a great shave.

Sony PlayStation 3 160GB Slim Console with DualShock Wireless Controller
Sony PlayStation 3 160GB Slim Console with DualShock Wireless Controller

5.0 out of 5 stars I used to own an old 40gb PS3, 29 Nov. 2011
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
If you've got an older console, i.e a FAT model, and you're fed up with the industrial fan noise literally drowning out the noise of the game then this is deffinately a move you will not regret.

Not only is the new console MUCH smaller, MUCH lighter, MUCH quieter but it also runs games faster.

I don't need to go into all the details for a PS3 as if you are looking at buying one then you already know what an incredible machine it is. Bluerays, free multiplayer, free (all be it a bit clunky) web browser, BBC iplayer installed, ITViplayer installed, lovefilm programme that lets you watch loads of older movies for free or new ones for a paid service but you can also rent games included in that subscription fee also. 5.1 dolby digital surround sound. wifi or LAN. 160GB hard drive to boot.

The ps3 is actually CHEAPER than an xbox nowadays. Look at the cheapest XBOX on here, and add up all the 'accesories' that are actually required ( hard drive, wifi, xboxlive cost ) and you've already passed the price of this console.

Why are you still reading this? buy it!

5.0 out of 5 stars are you a BFBC2 player?, 16 Nov. 2011
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
Most of you, like me, moved from BC games to this BF game. I had really high expectations for this game and i've been playing it for about 2 weeks solid and it doesn't dissapoint, however, there are a few issues.

1. single player -
brilliant, if a little too easy (even on hard). The voice acting was lacking somewhat, although the amount of glare from street lights and car lights would distract you from it for the most part lol. Lacking in humour and just a bit .. too serious.Completed it in about 5 hours.
The jet mission could of been amazing, the starting sequence is incredible, but the mission itself is a bit boring. If they allowed the player to actually fly the jet then it could of been perfect.

Even with its downsides I really enjoyed it.

2. CO-OP -
coop missions are good, quite hard and it actually requires you to talk to the other person for the covert mission, however i only used it mostly to get the guns that are unlocked in the multiplayer with co-op points

Looks just as good as singleplayer, even though its online, a good variety in missions and is challenging

3. Multiplayer -
Here is where i'm normally at a cross-road, i either say its better than BC2 or worse than BC2, but we all have bad days online.

Destruction -
Not nearly as impressive as BC2, less destruction, sometimes an RPG shot to a small concrete barricade does nothing and required a second hit, wood planks take an age to destroy.. like 5 shotgun hits which is rediculous!
There ARE buildings that can be destroyed, i can destify to that after killing 3 people in a building on kharg island.

Vehicles -
deffinatley HARDER to control especially the helicopters, its completely different to BC2 and it took me a long time to get as good as I was in BC2. You really need to balance the throttle because you have an RPM meter and doing fast movements with no power will almost certainly be a crash.

---vehicle weapons
Weak but balanced. Its POSSIBLE for a helicopter to dominate a game, but very unlikely. no where near as easy as BC2 was.

Weapons -
Again weak, not much variation in the weapons, and most of the weapons seem identical in damage. Although the shotguns are pretty fun and you can easily destroy the other team if you are sneaky enough to get behind them

GENERAL BALANCE -

Game is very balanced, much more so than BC2 with the stinger missiles easily taking down heli's and planes after the 2nd hit (first one normally blocked by flares)

only the support and engineer class have weapons to take out vehicles, so if you used to be a recon C4 person thats a thing of the past, which is good because i'm currently boosting my recon score but if we're being dominated by tanks, then you are forced to switch classes. WHICH IS WHAT YOU ARE MEANT TO DO. You shouldn't stay to one class an entire game, but vary it around a bit. And I like how dice have forced players to do it!

OVERALL -

Great game, on par , if not slightly ahead of BC2. The maps are limited at present, but there will be VIP map packs in the future. BC2 didn't start out with the 12 or so maps it has now remember!

Buy it!

4.0 out of 5 stars Review of my previous review, 1 April 2011
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I've decided to redo my previous review as I felt I was unjust in how I viewed this product.

Although I have had to resolder a new 3.5mm jack onto this pair of headphones they have far out lasted any other cheap in-ear headphones I've ever used. The cable is thick and reasonably sturdy. The sound quality is decent but nothing to rave about.

Overall I'm reasonably happy with these guys. I'd recommend them for a pair of throw away headphones.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best audio decision in my life. ( possibly exaggerating a little), 23 Mar. 2011
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I was sceptical about these sorts of things, however after having the 5th set of £30 headphones being destroyed by my dogs jumping on me and snapping the cable, I figured I needed to change something.

After reading reviews on many of these bluetooth devices, including stand alone devises like this or headphone only versions [such as the Sony HBH-IS800 and many others]I decided on this set based on its reviews on battery life, quality and range.

Verdict: It doesn't dissapoint.

---- Range:
Incredible, I put my phone down and started walking. After laughing at the idiotic range I had a smile on my face. Outside I got around 15-20m before drop out. Inside I got around 10m before the drop out started HOWEVER I could still hear it up to 15m, but it just droped out every now and then if I moved around too much.
Deffinately please with this range, as I would unlikely go this far from my phone anyway, but its to know I can.

Unlike the IS800 which many said, the quality depended on which pocket the phone was in. You will have no trouble with this.

---- Battery:
Did the 8 hours charge starting charge ( well 16 as I left it overnight ), this was over a week ago, and has only now given me a warning. The battery is better than my phones battery life!

Unline the IS800 which many said, the battery would die a little too frequnetly. However i'm sure this is mainly down to the MW800 having a MUCH larger battery inside it.

---- Sound:
The sound really is good. I was very surprised with the quality, I have not heard any "hiss" between songs and more over the quality does not drop over distances. If you have a signal, you have the same quality as if you were right beside the unit.

The headphones supplied are pretty good, turned up full the bass can become distorted on some songs, however I actually really like the sound quality from these. But it is well balanced and in NO way sounds teeny sounding.

---- Size and build:
Unit is tiny, extremely light and the clasp on it is very tough. extremely strong, and i'm sure i'll have no bother attaching it to clothing.

The only reason that I liked the Sony IS800, was that the entire unit was inside the headphones themselves. But the trade off in quality just wasn't worth it for me.

---- Functionality:
Just brilliant. You can pause, start, skip and change the volume ( at least on my nokia N8 ). The volume is seperate from the phone, and you can't turn the volume completely to mute. But its low enough that its hardly needed.
When your done listening to music, simply press "PAUSE" and leave the unit relatively close to the handset, when you are ready to listen again press "PLAY" and it will take off where you last left it. Between these times, the unit is in "stand by " mode, and uses very little battery.

Can connect upto 3 seperate devices simultaneously. ( although why you would I don't know )

---- Connectivity:
Barely worth noticing, it took literally seconds. Press the power botton for 5 seconds to start the pairing, search on your phone/unit. Connected. took 10 seconds.

Now, whenever I turn on the bluetooth on my phone, it connect automatically.

To connect up more than 1 device, simply press the power botton for 5 seconds, and connect up the other 2. When you would like to connect to another device, simply press and hold the "PLAY" botton, and it will come up with a menu of 3 devices ( which nicely show the symbol of the type of device, A 'mobile' icon for a mobile and a 'computer' icon for a computer/ps3 ) using the volume scroller to move between each one, press "PLAY" on the one you would like to connect to and it will automatically connect to that selected device. EASY.

---- Price:

At £30, it isn't the cheapest version of bluetooth headphones. But its no where near the most expensive. I choose this based on its reviews (and cost obviously) and i'm sure it performs just as good as those £150 pair of headphones

----Conclusion----

Buy it, you won't regret it.

4.0 out of 5 stars de ja vu? I think so..., 10 Nov. 2010
= Fun:4.0 out of 5 stars
Im not a hardcore COD fan, I religiously plays cod4 but I never really got into the other previous games in the franchise. MW2 was a HUGE let down, even with a month break from the game, I cant stand playing it for more than 1 hour without ragequiting. As for COD:Black Ops, well I was sceptical from the offset. I never really got into the hype, and only decided to buy it a few days before release.

Well the game arrived yesterday, so lets deal with what i've played so far and my likes and dislikes...

Campaign:

likes:
The campaign, visually is superior to mw2. At least when it comes to lanscapes and lighting, character models still look horrible.
Its full of action, right from the get go I was laughing at the "coolness" of what was happening infront of me. Its a rather bloody game to say the least!

Dislikes:
The story, somewhat vague, I was a few missions in before I actually understood what was going on. The rediculous amount of cutscenes seem to remove you from the action, in a way that is supposed to be fluid but just ends up annoying.
controls.. well i'll come to the in a second..
everytime you get a trophee, the game freezes for 2 seconds. Which is rather distracting.

Onlines:
likes:
There is a lot of variety online, i'm not the kind of guy that cares about being unique, shall we say. However its nice to see a kill cam with a rediculous redical in the reddot sight!
The online is a lot more tactical I find, you have weapons like the nova 6 gas, phantom gunfire granade thing and the camera to your disposal which, if used properly, really helped to win a lot of games
I for one, do like the currency system. It forces you to pick and choose what guns/killstreaks/perks/attachments e.t.c you want to use first. But i'll cover the dislikes

Dislikes:
Maps are too crowded, I got lost easily. With too many hiding spots! I often was killed by someone just hiding at one of the many bottlenecks in the game.
The guns are way too expensive, most of the attachments are unlocked from level 20+, so your stuck with a crappy gun with no range until then!
Controls... well they are unique to say the least. I frequently would run to a corner, go into prone at the corner ( like I normally would ).. and find myself dive bombing straight past the corner and right into the line of fire, thanks to the new animated run-to-prone system. It was funny at first, but it just gets frustraiting! I'm sure i'll get used to this eventually, but for the moment I really dont like it.
killstreaks... well this deserves a section of its own I think.
Map skipping/repeating. This feature I thought was great at first, but what started out as having fun on one map, led to constantly playing this certain map. As everytime the game finished people would vote to redo it! you should be able to repeat a map only once before it skips to the next one.

Killstreaks:!

Overpowered. enough said? no? okay well..
I thought cod:black ops would not have another chopper gunner type killstreak, but it has. And spawn rapping happens frequently. Infact CODBO has 2 chopper gunner style helicopters, one which is on a rail, and one which is player controller but both dominate far too much. You can't even switch to your rocket launcher before your killed, as the spawning system is predictable AGAIN. we're talking about the guy in the helicopter getting 20-30+ kills before it goes away.. any killstreak which gives that much is way overpowered.

THE ONLY thing I like about the killstreaks, is that your killstreaks dont actually add to you "killstreak". You physically need to shoot someone before you get that extra couple kills required. That means people cant call in the chopper gunner and camp out.

overall...

The game is good, if you liked mw2 you'll love this game. If you didnt like mw2, you'll like this game. Time will tell if the novelty of a new game will wear off, or it will stay.
