Easy to use., 15 April 2014
The machine is quite efficient, but I am having trouble (even if I cool the mixture in the refridgerator before putting them into the machine) of getting it adequately frozen in the machine. The ice creams are OK, because of the thicker concistency, so when they start to thicken in the machine I can put them in the freezer for the last 5-10 degrees, but sorbets are quite tricky, since they have to be very cold not to split again, when they are removed from the machine. Last time I needed to use both freezing units just to make one batch, to get it cold enough. But hey - the kids love it - and so do I !! I now make the mixtures in the evening and cool them in the fridge until next day - the kids "help" me freeze it, and put in some Smarties or M&M's at the end - and that is what an ice cream maker is supposed to do - isn't it ?
