5.0 out of 5 stars A smart little book, 25 Jan. 2010
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
I gave this to my brother who was made redundant back along by the Evil G...he praised it highly and thought it excellent...........he received 2 requests to come in for interviews the week after he used some of the principles in this book..so it worked for him.

5.0 out of 5 stars Well..................I enjoyed using it, 25 Jan. 2010
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
This is great....if like me you are a lover of making your own PC 'themes' linking sounds to graphics and operations then this is brilliant. It takes a while to see what is what but once you have that sorted then you can play away with it to your hearts content...amaze & annoy your friends at the same time!!

5.0 out of 5 stars My new favourite author, 1 Jan. 2010
This review is from: Shades of Grey (Hardcover)
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
When you discover something this good it is like a revelation. I loved this from start to finish....it is very funny, both laugh out loud and sly inner chortle funny. Spaced out and spacey this book breaks the mould of bold and brilliant SF, Fforde is up there with the greats....this book is never cliched or formulaic it is bold and brave and never, ever, condescending towards its' reader....I want more...and luckily for me he is very prolific and Amazon stocks them!!

The Cry Of The Sloth
The Cry Of The Sloth
by Sam Savage
Edition: Hardcover
Price: £12.99

5.0 out of 5 stars Sharply funny and knowing, 1 Jan. 2010
This review is from: The Cry Of The Sloth (Hardcover)
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
Ouch!! Sharply observed, cruel and poignant, hilarious and sarcastic, brilliant!! A real laugh out loud wince inside read....uncomfortable in places..especially if you have ever received a biting critique of your own work.

I loved it...written by somebody who 'knows', for people who'know'.

5.0 out of 5 stars Makes the hairs on the back of your neck bristle, 1 Jan. 2010
This review is from: Winterland (Paperback)
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
Boy oh boy...this is 'hard boiled' fiction in it's most thrilling sense....like a cheese grater to the gonads this demands your attention from the get go...it is a ripper of a story told in a very stark way, bleak and down beat in places this adds to the overall feel of a tough city in a tough land...the innocent die young there.... read it in one go on a train journey and it never flagged once...the dialogue is acutely observed and crackles with menace....brilliant

3.0 out of 5 stars Great gag gift for the gourmand, 1 Jan. 2010
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
This is a great little gag gift book for the gourmand in the family...hilariously weird things to eat...I just could not believe some of the things people are prepared to chow down on, when a fussy family member or friend is coming to visit & you get fed up with them going on and on about how they cannot eat "this or that" in the way you prepare it...then leave this little book out in the open for them to find...and watch their horrified reaction!!

3.0 out of 5 stars Big book trying a big task, 1 Jan. 2010
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
This is a great way to get a 'snapshot' of different cities around the World, a potted guide with a few of the good/bad points and a few photographs thrown in. It is a 'taster' if you will and could lead you into finding out more in depth...it is a hint of what could come when you visit these places. It is a reference book to hint at the 'joys' of visiting cities you may not have thought of going to....some are 'wild and woolly' and others a bit more 'civilized'...but all look interesting. This is a great 'flip' through book....not a serious attempt at anything in depth

THE MIGHTY BOOSH OFFICIAL 2010 WALL CALENDAR NEW AND SEALED
THE MIGHTY BOOSH OFFICIAL 2010 WALL CALENDAR NEW AND SEALED

1.0 out of 5 stars Rip off, 1 Jan. 2010
Sad to see The 'Boosh' at the fag end of their creative output, the producers of this lacklustre calendar have done the boys a great disservice .... it is just a group of poor photographs shoddily tacked together...looks like somebody spent 2 minutes (if that!) picking the shots...if these were the best they could find then the rest must have been really dire. If you are going to screw me at least stroke my hair

1.0 out of 5 stars I hate it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, 20 Nov. 2009
That's it!!

Nasty experience.....why do some manufacturers seem to 'deliberately' make products so horrible to use....I got frustrated and annoyed with it.........not a pleasure to use.....it seemed to have been designed specifically to 'P' me off......thank goodness for returns policies that accept items back....I would never...ever...I means forever....bother with the manufacturer again...this mp3 player makes the i-pod look positively 'Newtonian' !!
