Just a short review to give you an impression what this is about: As stated in other reviews, there are only the goals on this disc. Yes, that means that goalless draws are omitted completely. These matches are not mentioned either because the commentary is original in-game commentary - but I actually like that. Penalty shoot-outs (France-Italy, Brazil-Netherlands) are not shown either.

Why did I buy this DVD? Because the World Cup 98 was the first one that I lived to see, so this article is a perfect memorabile. Therefore, I can ignore the outdated visual quality and unspectacular menu.

Hope that helps you a bit.

Now, much has already been said about this game. As a German player who had the chance to visit the developers' studio I can maybe add some few points, though. What I can't judge is the English language version.

First of all my own experiences with the game: The chapter structure gives the player a good middle course between free world discovery and quest fulfilling. Questlog and interface have been modified in comparison to the Gothic series (1, 2 + add-on, 3 without add-on - these are the games Piranha Bytes created, for the following Gothic sequels other developers are responsible). There are almost no bugs at all (there was one serious one in the beginning with GeForce 7x-series, it was fixed some days after release) which is obviously a great achievement after G3. The world is very detailed and the soundtrack supports the atmosphere very well.

All in all, the game is a lot of fun. There are many parallels to Gothic 1 and 2, but that is exactly what the community wanted it to be like after the G3 disappointment. For that, PB are actually not the ones to blame. It was publisher Jowood who made them release it as early as possible to avoid insolvency. That's how the bugs went public. Only four stars from me for Risen nevertheless, because a bit more creativity (for a possible part two?) would serve the game well.

5.0 out of 5 stars Flippin' hilarious, 12 July 2009
This fantastic TV series lives on its two main characters, Bret and Jemaine. Both kiwis that have come to New York, they try to succeed with their music as well as their private "pursuit of happiness". The central clue of the Conchords is that the flow of the story is regularly interrupted by their own songs (there are normally two in each episode). These take on almost every possible genre which shows their variability. The music with its hilarious lyrics is always the best part, character constellations (apart from Murray, the manager, maybe) serve mainly to make a credible frame.

All in all, this is really great entertainment - we'd be happy if we had stuff like that in Germany (it doesn't make sense to dub it, though, because the NZ accent adds an extra laugh sometimes). It would have been nice to have more extras on the DVD, nonetheless.

The most important information about this great singer and guitar player has already been said. So what makes her debut CD special in my opinion? I think it is the honesty and passion with which Ayo is making music. Instead of singing about those superficial mainstream topics, her lyrics have depth and she really means it. That doesn't mean, however, that there aren't any "feel-good-songs" - African rhythms provide for that.

Ayo is a great musician who should be up there with the likes of Tracy Chapman for example. Apart from her second album "Gravity at last" she also features her husband Patrice on his new work "FreePatriAtion".
