2.0 out of 5 stars Why is this card slightly bigger?????, 24 Nov 2006
I completely agree with the last review... This card is NOT as fast as other high speed advertised cards.

Furthermore, like read in previous reviews, this card is SLIGHTLY bigger than classic SD card. When i put it in my PDA (Qtek S200) it got stuck there, but luckily you can take it out with a bit of effort...

It however goes in well in my Canon Ixus 55 camera...

So: this card is allright for cameras, but is not highspeed. For PDA, avoid.

3.0 out of 5 stars Not entirely satisfied..., 9 Jun 2006
This review is from: Minors Aloud (Audio CD)
This contains some nice playing, but it was thrown together the night before the session, and it shows. The set is also not well-served by Buddy Emmons' croaking bar-band vocals. If you are a Lenny Breau or Emmons big fan who has to have everything they did, then obviously you'll want this; but if you are looking for an introduction to either player (both masters), look elsewhere.

5.0 out of 5 stars Superb, 9 Jun 2006
This review is from: The Hallmark Sessions (Audio CD)
Absolutely fantastic use of his great prodigal prowess on guitar. It is hard to believe he had only been listening to jazz for a relatively short time, and beginning to practice and learning to play it for even less time. He sounds so fully developed, with of many of the licks and techniques down that dozens of world class oldtime jazz guitar players made entire careers out of.

Overall, another exhilarating, exciting, rewarding addition to the best of the best of chordal jazz guitar collections possible, by a young master high up on his game, with unimaginable peaks and valleys to come. A must Buy

5.0 out of 5 stars Breau Again, 9 Jun 2006
This review is from: Live At Bourbon St. (Audio CD)
If you are not familiar with Lenny Breau, what a treat these 2 CD's can be for you. Here using a great sounding custom 7 string guitar with a high 'A' string! Considered by the best of the jazz and country worlds to be the best living guitarist in his lifetime, he lives up to his reputation here. I have everything I can get that Lenny did, and this is my favorite alongside "The Complete Livingroom Tapes." He had incredible technique and prowess, truly killer chops. On this recording he has deepened and grown beyond anything purely physical or technical about music on a guitar. He comunicates with heartfelt passion and soul, so fully, so clearly, so cleanly, and so...transcendently. It's hard to believe how beautiful this music is. I love it!

5.0 out of 5 stars Wow, 9 Jun 2006
This review is from: Five O'clock & Mo Breau (Audio CD)
Lenny Breau was one of the most innovative guitarist to come along in decades. Lenny's use of improvised melodic lines and octave harmonics was brilliant. He would weave the harmonics in with the melodic line and never miss a single beat. Combining Jazz, Flamenco, Classical, Pop and Country influences throughout sometimes in the same pieces. This may leave the impression that Lenny was a jack of all trades and a master of none, however he could play these diverse styles with a fresh approach that often is missed by players of a single musical form. By this he proved himself a master improvisor, guitarist and musician. My only regret is that more of his c.d's aren't available

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome!, 9 Jun 2006
This review is from: Living Room (Audio CD)
This beautifully remastered 2 CD set is the best news Breau fans have had in years. His playing is not only technically astounding, it's playful, imaginative and expressive. As well, this set captures the array of influences that shaped Breau's style: jazz, blues, flamenco, country and more. The previously unreleased material is awesome with Breau doing a couple of hilarious comedy skits. The remastering job done here is remarkable, a vast improvment on the quality of the original releases.
