1.0 out of 5 stars Very poorly produced version of a great game, 1 Jan. 2012
This review is from: Guess Who? Game (Toy)
This is a fantastic game in concept but the new version is very badly produced with the cheapest plastic available. I agree that having the characters all on one sheet makes it a good deal easier to assemble but unfortunately the doors which you use to eliminate characters are so flimsy, they shut if a fly breaks wind, therefore rendering the whole game pointless. There are also only 5 female characters to choose from, which hardly makes it either representational or competitive (it's obviously not an olympic sport, but still). I bought an Asda own edition and thought I would try and get a better quality version only to be very sadly disappointed - don't waste your money, try and find a vintage version instead.

Second Skins: Flotation Suit upto 12kg (Purple/Grey)
Second Skins: Flotation Suit upto 12kg (Purple/Grey)

5.0 out of 5 stars Best swimming aid by far, 5 July 2010
We've had several of these suits for our boys over the years and they really are fantastic. The quality is excellent and they really do encourage childrent to swim instead of just keeping them afloat. The floats are arranged in such a way that the child is tilted forward ever so slightly which allows them to naturally assume a proper swimming postion. Aeons apart from arm bands and rubber rings, expensive but well worth the money especially if you swim every week as we do. They have the added benefit of providing sun protection if you're lucky enough to be at the beach! Have also has a couple of cheaper versions and I have to say they did not compare well as the floats were far thicker and more cumbersome and not sculpted as well.

Moo! (On the Farm)

Edition: Board book

4.0 out of 5 stars Great board book for mucky fingers, 5 July 2010
This review is from: Moo! (On the Farm) (Board book)
A great series of books for sticky fingers to flip through, although our favourite is Oink, there are just enough words on the page to keep them interested when you are reading to little ones and the pictures keep them captivated when looking through the book on their own.

5.0 out of 5 stars A lovely book for young children, 5 July 2010
This review is from: Humbug (Paperback)
A lovely book to read to young children whether they are interested in riding or not. Made all the more enchanting as it is a true story describing the life and times of a well loved Shetland pony. Children who are keen on riding will love it.

2.0 out of 5 stars On my 4th unit and still not impressed., 5 Mar. 2008
I have had to return this model 3 times (to a high street retailer not Amazon) due to the parent unit lighting up when there was no actual sound being monitored. Also the battery life of the parent unit is abysmal - literally minutes. Initially I was very impressed with the quality of the sound but this has deteriorated over the last 12 months and the parent unit now hums which is very annoying. On the positive side there has been no interference with any other electronic devices thanks to the DECT technology. Very disappointing overall.

1.0 out of 5 stars Been there and the author obviously hasn't!!, 1 Dec. 2007
We spent 4 months in Northern Spain in 2005 and took this book with us as a guide and reference book for general information. The only good thing I can say about it us that it fitted in the cubby box in the LandRover other than that we could have used it for loo roll. When you are actually on the ground, in the area travelling around and reading the book, you wonder whether the author has ever set foot there. Don't bother, just purchase the right Michelin map and go for it!! Happy travelling.
