A cracking read, 30 Mar 2013
When Harry Jones, pursued by the Mafia, stops off at an Italian village and meets the beautiful Harriet, his life becomes entrenched in a sinister plot to scupper the testing of Britain's latest wonder plane, the de Havilland Comet. The author's research into this 1950s era is first class and the many twists and turns in a pulsating and intriguing story will have the reader turning the pages quicker than the jet turbines of the illustrious jetliner. Conjuring echoes of Communists, and spies - US, Russian and British - Harry Jones is tasked with thwarting all. How he gets there takes us on an exhilarating journey through Italy and a personal quest that is danger personified.
