1.0 out of 5 stars Nice looking but useless, 5 Dec 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I wanted a small desktop pc with wifi and this looked great. The UK reviews were great (only after I got it did I find the terrible US reviews). The US reviewers are spot on. the machine has the following fatal flaws:

1. Wifi is worse than useless - continually failing even though it is in exact spot using same router as other PCs and devices that work perfectly all the time.

2. Integrated speakers do not work. This is apparently known and there is no simple fix other than completely reinstalling windows, and getting hold of the the right firmware update. Ridiculous that lenovo can ship a device with such a blatant klnown fault. I only got sound by plugging my speakers into the headphones socket - which is AT THE FRONT (hence destroying the nice aesthetics)

3. Very slow.

So a machine whihc is terrific in principle had to be sent back. Shame they did not spend an extra $100 getting it fit for purpose as it would have been worth it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Every politician should read this book, 22 Dec 2009

Well researched and well written, it blows away much of the whitewashing of the Koran that is prominent in the main stream media.

5.0 out of 5 stars This book should be compulsory reading for all politicians, 1 Jun 2007

This review is from: FINAL MOVE BEYOND IRAQ (Paperback)
I read Mike Evans's previous book (Showdown with Nuclear Iran) and found that it was one of the most illuminating insights into the present and likely future confrontation between the West and the Islamic fundamentalists. Evans speaks with authority and accuracy (he has an impresive network of contacts) The new book continues the excellent work and should be compulsory reading for all politicians, espcially at a time when the US feels it might be able to hold back the Islamist threat by appeasement.

5.0 out of 5 stars Frightening analysis of the threat from Iran, 18 Oct 2006
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Just got this book - it is a well written and well researched analysis of the threat posed by Iran written by an author who has a deep understanding of the situation on the ground and impressively authorative personal contacts. It should be read by all apologists for the Iranian regime [...]
