3.0 out of 5 stars Pretty good game, 1 Aug. 2011
Hi everyone, I have had this game for about a week now and it is a pretty good game. In my view there are more pros than cons.

Pros : character graphics are good (from a distance), gun graphics are good, muzzle flash from firing a weapon is good, car graphics aren't bad, explosions are good, campaign isn't bad but it's long, different weapon choices are decent.

Cons : on the cutscenes when they show a character up close the graphics don't look as sharp as you would expect (when they showed this girls hand the fingers and nails weren't that sharp compared to something like somebodies hand in GTA IV), the characters seem to be pretty shiny up close (don't know if that is the brightness on my tv or in the option menu though).

Overall it isn't a bad game with goodish graphics so I would recommend it to people, but fair play if you don't want to buy it. Hopefully a new Call Of Juarez game will have improved character graphics.

4.0 out of 5 stars really good game, 17 Feb. 2011
After playing Half Life 2 The Orange Box I thought it was a really good game, good storyline and the different episodes followed each other, which some games don't. It bought a different style of gaming to me in my view as I am used to playing COD, Fifa etc.

I would recommend this game to people who like this kind of game or even people who havent played this kind of game before (as you could get into it) as it can be exiting but sometimes can be frustrating. The only bad point I would make is that you can get lost of where you're ment to be going within the game.

Final thing I am going to say is the thing that is doing my head in about the reviews I have read on the Orange Box (and plenty of other games) is that few people have said that it is terrible etc (as they play Modern Warfare etc), but the fact is, is that it is an older game than COD Modern Warfare and Assassains Creed(however you spell it) so the graphics won't be as good as them etc and please for those people give it a flaming rest will you! stop making the game seem bad and possibly putting people off from buying the game, if it isn't your kind of game for any reason(not the style you would play etc) don't make it seem like it's a bad game as it's not.

Hope this helps people's decision on the game.

4.0 out of 5 stars Very good but can be slightly improved, 7 Oct. 2010
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This game is a pretty good buy but it isn't the best game and it could be improved. There are a few good things about the game such as:

- you can customise your weapons.
- you can customise the masks.
- the plot is pretty good.
- you can choose different decisions on situations (good or bad).
- the graphics are good.

The only two disappointing things I have to say about the AI (Artificial Intelligence) for the computer controlled partner in the game are:

- if you get shot and need assistance, the computer controlled player seems to drag you out of cover, which is where he can easily heal you and drags you into an open area to heal you but this is where you and your partner can get shot at and possibly restarting from the previous checkpoint (which is really annoying if your really close to the end of the chapter).
- the computer doesn't always seem to listen to the commands given out, for example if you say re-group, the computer might push forward and then get killed, which isn't a clever thing to do.

Overall this game in my opinion is pretty good with the exception of your partner, but if your willing to accept that the computer might make some odd decisions then I would recommend the game.
