Poor Jack Plug Connecter, 12 May 2013
Plugged this in to my mp3 player and initially it seemed fine. Music sounded balanced and not too bad considering the size. It also went to full volume without distorting. When I moved it the sound crackled and I lost one channel. On closer examination it became apparent that the 3.5mm plug was slightly too small for the socket, as I wiggled it about so the sound crackled from stereo to single speaker and back again. It wasn't the cable at fault, or the mp3 player. I tested a number of 3.5mm sockets with this unit and the same thing happend. On reciept I had thrown the package it arrived in in the bin as I was fairly confident initially that not a lot could go wrong with it, it was after all a Philips! I wish I hadn't because I would have sent it back. So instead I attempted to take it apart and replace the plug and cable. Although there were 4 small screws which I was able to remove, the unit would not seperate for me to gain access inside and as I tried to lever the 2 parts apart, the unit split and broke. I threw it in the bin, a waste of £10. Perhaps I was just unlucky to have recieved a unit with a faulty 3.5mm jack, but either way I would not buy this model again or recommend it.

Unbeatable value JVC HAS160 Headphones, 24 April 2013
I really didn't expect much for the price, even accounting for the positive reviews, but I took a chance and am very pleased. The build is nice, but feel fragile so don't think they'll take too much in the way of abuse. Sound wise, all frequencies sound good, with good detail levels. No listening fatigue from either sound or headwear. I was so happy after using my first pair that I ordered 3 more pairs. Never mind the low price, these JVC HAS160 headphones are very very good, whichever colour you choose.

Bright and built like a tank, 19 April 2013
Great torch. Bright, with an adjustable zoom beam. Push button on end of metal tube. Very very solid piece of kit. Uses easy to obtain batteries. What more can I say, the reviews speak for themselves. For this kind of money you simply can not go wrong. Very pleased with product and delivery time.

years and years of comfortable high quality sound, 14 April 2013
I bought my first pair of these back in 2006/07. I have used them regularly, with all kinds of music, using all kinds of equipment. They have sustained a lot of abuse over the years but they have never let me down yet. They are comfortable for all day listening. The sound reproduction and noise cancelling is absolutely superb. I bought another pair of these a couple of years ago when they were on offer but have not yet needed to use them as the first pair are still going strong.

Jug Kettle, 28 Mar 2013
Does the job, boils water. Element visible inside. Fill gauge on one side. 2.2kw so not as fast as 3kw, as expected. Putting on base can be a tad tricky. Nice deep purple colour, fits in with my accessories nicely. Had it 6 months and no leaks or any other problems. Live in a hard water area so occasionally descale to prolong life of element. At @ £15 a bargain.

Panasonic Vacuum Cleaner, 26 Mar 2013
I've had 4 dyson cylinder vacuum's in the past. Most recently i've been using a Henry, which was as good, if not better than the Dyson's. However, I got tired of lugging the cylinder type vacuums around and wanted a traditional upright vacuum. I read the listing description, and more importantly the many user reviews. Some users mentioned their carpets looked as if they had been washed after using the Panansonic, so, along with the weight of the machine being light I decided to buy one. Wow, the Panasonic is lightweight and easy to carry and move around. It's cleaning is second to none. It is the best vacuum i've ever owned. I had the same remarks from visitors, they thought I had my carpets professionally steam cleaned! I have a long haired Persian cat who sheds lots of hair daily, the other vacuums I used never used to remove all of the hair, the Panasonic does. It is a little louder than the cylinder vacuums, but that's a small price to pay for making your home look like you've had new carpets laid every time you use it. A brilliant, super efficient vacuum at a simply bargain price. It comes with easy to read instructions and photos, including 6 genuine Panasonic bags (5 pack plus one in the machine) All you have to do is screw in the handle with the one screw supplied and away you go. So pleased :-)

you get what you pay for, 27 Feb 2013
Ok, it's hard to be overly critical, this is less than £30 including delivery PROS: It is a small, truly portable cd/2 band radio player. Bass Boost switch. Nice build and finish. Includes mains lead. 3.5mm input socket. CONS: Poor sound quality. No headphone socket. No output sockets. No bass, treble or tone controls. Display unlit. Poorly discernible control buttons I use this to fall asleep to, so in that regard it does its job. But for long term listening and sound equalization look elsewhere and spend more

Powerful & clear, 29 Jan 2013
Plug & play with very good, powerful clear sound. Now I can ditch the seperate amp & speakers I was using through the headphone socket and do away with all that cable. This soundbar is excellent and I got it for just over £20 from Amazon, a real bargain. I use it on both my Dell laptops running Windows 7 with no problems at all. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
