5.0 out of 5 stars Dutch Microwave,Fleshy Lightswitch, Chocolate McKitten and so on, 6 May 2014
Picked this up for 6 as a gamble and was glad i did.If you remember the 90's CITV kids show Bernard's Watch think of it as an explicit grown up version of it. The artwork is amazing and even better when Suzie and Jon enter 'The Quiet' Only gripe is the ending left me a little confused & disappointed in how they get out of a situation.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great game but......., 22 Aug 2013
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
Havent read the books or seen the tv series, but was curious about it, I loved the old adventure games on ps1 like discworld and broken sword, this was the nearest thing to it. Best way of describing it is Heavy rain meets The last of us. Obviously this came out before TLOU but the plot is similar (guy helps out child in world of monsters). What I really liked was how the story and dialogue changed with the decisions you made. There is no good or bad decisions just have to live with the consequences and how people see you as a result. Do you steal from an abandoned car or leave it? Do you help kill someone who may be dying or help try to revive them? The story and characters were great, not a big fan of kids but I did care what clementine the 8 year old girl thought of me and felt bad if she saw me do something unpleasant. I recommended this to my brother as i wanted to see how he would react in these situations as he's a father and im not and if he would be more protective. I also LOVED the graphic style of this game, not everything has to be hyper-realistic.

While I can't fault the story, graphiccs or gameplay itself, the bugs nearly cripple it at times especially during episode 3 as i had to replay a certain section 4 times before it would let me pass. This was especially infuriarting as i was desperate to see what happened next.

All in all a great experience marred by technical hitches but that wont stop me from getting season 2 of this game series. i just hope they sort those bugs out 1st!

PS easy platinum too which is always a bonus

5.0 out of 5 stars DEADPOOL SMASH(ED)!, 1 Aug 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
After the disapppointing Space Oddity, which even the recap page says space is boring. This is a big improvement and start of an arc where Deadpool just wants to die.Permanently. He decides he needs something huge to do it. Huge like ticking off the Hulk and get obliterated as a result. Without going into further details this is a fun story with a big fight involving DP antagonizing the hulk by various means. The sight of Wade Wilson on a kid's tricycle made me giggle especially.

It also comes with a bonus story from the original 1997 Deadpool run where Wade needs a sample of the hulk's blood.

Worth the 8.50ish

5.0 out of 5 stars very very funny, 27 July 2012
one way to describe is as 'seth mcfarlane's futurama' AD is underrated and in familguy's shadow like futurama is (or was) o the simpsons. nearly every episode is hysterical. the only 1 i didnt like was the 'morning straitjacket'as it felt like an ad for a band who sound like coldplay for stoners, well even more than coldplay do anyway. skip that and the rest of the set is excellent. One baffling issue is that some episodes have the swear words bleeped while others like 'Great Space Roaster' dont. Nt important just a little jarring at times. Enjoy the Smith family as its improving while Family Guy is declining

5.0 out of 5 stars A fitting end!, 1 July 2012
This review is from: Punishermax: Homeless (Hardcover)
Been a punisher fan for a few years. This Kingpin arc has been very enjoyable and showing the punisher weakened and broken down by age and mentally . My only complaint was how bullseye was written out of in this story after his part was great and was hoping for more between him and frank.

to me this was more a light hearted story after the bleakness of the excellent 'The Slavers' due to the humor of Barracuda. Its hard not to like the guy despite him trying to kill Castle. Its a strange story of Punisher going up aginst a corporation planning on creating a blackout to boost their stock prices. Barracuda is a lot like MAX's The Russian character only not a comical Ivan Drago spoof. Near invincible and doesnt let anything stop him in a fight, not even losing an eye and some fingers! the only thing that bugs me is how it ends in that The Punisher probably killed a few innocent people (something he NEVER does) along with the bigwigs and fat cats but best not to overthink it.
If you're reading the Punisher MAX series in order (which you should), this is a welcome black comic break after the harshness of The Slavers. Just avoid reading if your going near shark infested waters in the future
