5.0 out of 5 stars The Best Prop Replica, Which Also Turns on the TV!, 19 Aug 2014
In my opinion the Ninth/Tenth Doctor's sonic screwdriver is the best design of the bunch there have been, so to hear a faithful prop replica was being made really excited me. Then I heard it was a universal television remote with a TV-be-gone feature. Then I realised it was only 70, and I had to buy it.

It came in the post, and I fell in love immediately. Never in my life have I appreciated a product so much. From the presentation of the box, the BEST customer service I've ever known and the love and care poured into the product itself.

The screwdriver is a full replica which looks marvellous. It sounds good too, with over 10 sound effects activated by gestures. The regular buzz can be activated just by pressing the button.

The screwdriver has a lovely metal stand complete with writing from Gallifrey. The box is absolutely beautiful, and inside a wonderful poster is found which shows off the screwdriver.

It's made of a high quality metal and really does look the part. Even those who don't like 'who' will appreciate the quality of this screwdriver, they'll be bowled over by the TV features and they'll love the attention to detail.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great console, 30 May 2014
The sad fact is people think Nintendo isn't good anymore, when in reality the Wii u has great exclusives, is very powerful and has the best Mario Kart to date. I've tried all three next-generation consoles and the wii u is by far the most FUN.

5.0 out of 5 stars Nintendo at its best, 30 May 2014
Mario Kart is a system seller. It's the perfect title for families or friends to gather round and have a laugh, and the latest rendition is no different.
Firstly, the graphics are superb. The frame rate is buttery-smooth and the colours pop.
Secondly, the gameplay is wonderful. The driving mechanics are perfect. The new items are great fun and the menus flow quickly and easily.
The course selection is great too, with my favourite ever Rainbow Road returning from the Nintendo 64. It looks simply beautiful. Don't forget, you can claim a free Wii U game when you buy this one.
Lastly, I'd like to mention the music which just adds a new level of joy to the experience.
The impression this new Mario Kart gives is a fantastic one. You can't help grin when playing this game as it's classic Nintendo. You can tell much money and time has been invested into it, and I emplore you, if you haven't bought a Wii U as of yet because you hear people saying "oh, it's not powerful enough" or people saying there is a lack of games, they are wrong, don't listen to them.
It's a sad fact that people think it's cool to hate Nintendo at the moment. Those people don't open their eyes to the titles Nintendo have released recently, super Mario 3D world for example, which are fantastic games worth every penny.
Nowhere else can you find such imaginative games made for pure fun for everyone. Mario Kart 8 is one of the best entries in the series so far, so give it a go.

5.0 out of 5 stars SUPER Mario 3D world, 30 Nov 2013
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
The first trailer for this game at E3 didn't give us all high hopes for the next Mario game. However, each of the next trailers looked better and better, but they don't prepare you for the amount of grinning you're going to endure whilst playing this game.
The music is fantastic, the graphics are great, but most of all the new ideas (of which there are plenty) will leave you in love with your purchase. From Goombas swimming in the sea in a rubber ring, to running around with a pirahna plant with 3 other friends, this game will only make you smile.
Although the level difficulty isn't quite as hard as many would have liked, if you set out to get the 3 stars In each level, it is more difficult.
And lastly, you should note that this game doesn't feel like the 2.5D super Mario 3D Land, but closer to the wonderful Galaxy games, in a glorious 3D, bright, vibrant world

5.0 out of 5 stars Windows 8 Lumia 820 review, 6 Jun 2013
I thought I'd write this review to voice my opinion on how wonderful Windows phone OS is and how wonderful this phone is.

This phone has been made by Nokia and so one expects good build quality and this phone certainly doesn't disappoint. It feels sturdy and, unlike other mid range phones, it doesn't feel like it will break if I were to drop it. The phone can be personalised with colourful backs to suit your mood and wireless charging is a dream come true. Certain review sites claim the phone is too heavy, however that is not the case. The heaviness only adds a feeling of security, in my opinion.
The battery life is good. It will last me for a day and a half on average, which is better than my old Android.
The phone has a 8 megapixel camera with a Carl Zeiss lens which takes beautiful pictures and it also has a front facing camera, perfect for Skype!
It is a very powerful phone for the price with 1GB of RAM and a dual core processor. The apps run smoothly and without hesitation.
The screen is large, perfect for typing and very clear.

Reviewing sites also claim that the app market has a lot to be desired. I however found every app I wanted available to me, many for free. Nokia has exclusive apps too, such as the Nokia Drive app. Even though windows phone does not have google apps such as maps, Nokia has provided apps just as good, or even better,to replace them. Every app I used on Android has it's own version on Windows Store. Apps like paypal, ebay, amazon, weather, news and various game genres can be found. Because Windows is developed by Microsoft, Xbox apps can be downloaded too, exclusive to Windows Phone and xbox.
The phone can also connect to office, allowing word processing on the go!

Operating System
The Windows operating system is simple and easy to use. The menu is a list of apps on 'tiles'. These tiles can be reshaped and resized to suit you. The keyboard that pops up is very well layed out and makes typing a breeze! It is much more fluent than Android and allows much more customisation than Apple IOS.

I bought a windows phone because android was a bit clunky and messy but apple phones were too expensive. Windows phones offer the customisation of android and cleanliness of apple. The phone is simply a joy to use, from the clear screen, the fantastic camera and the home menu animations. Windows phone has all of the features you'd expect in a modern smartphone but it also has much, much more to offer than other phones on the market do at the moment.

I must admit, initially I didn't want to buy this game because I wasn't sure its be worth 40. After finishing Lego city I wanted another game to play so I took the plunge.
This game has online play, gorgeous visuals and great mechanics and only until you play it will you truly understand what it is about. I am 100% satisfied with my purchase and would say it's one of the best games I've ever played

I didn't play the original Luigi's mansion so at first I was wary of buying this title. Luigi's mansion has many mansions to explore with puzzles to solve and it also has local and online play, this game will keep you entertained for hours!

Very much like GTA and the Simpsons Hit and Run, Lego city undercover is an open world game. The main story is based in chapters, each taking about an hour with 15 chapters in total. However there is much more than the story mode to play in this game. All over the city there are things to build, discover and do, so if you want a laugh-a-minute, action packed, lighthearted game that will entertain you for hours, buy this one!

It seems that I am in the minority here as, for me this game is quite enjoyable. After having played call of duty 2 on the wii u I can say that the look sensitivity is better on COD, however after playing for 10 minutes I got used to it. I don't understand why this game got review scores so low. I would warrant this game 70-80%. If you see this game for 30 then buy it and if you don't like it sell it again! it's great fun and shouldn't be compared to the likes of COD, it's a different type of game! maybe it isn't as good as goldeneye wii but it's pretty good anyway.

Verified Purchase(What is this?)
this is the first definitive Call Of Duty experience on a Nintendo console. It features online multiplayer modes and local modes. It's a great game for the wii u. If you are going to buy this game, consider to buy the pro controller, it's worth it.
