Despite buying what looks like a genuine Samsung toner set. When it arrived it was a re-filled set. I put it into the printer and the printer said "not compatible" and refused to print. I would have hoped that as its sold by amazon and not a third party that it would have been ok.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good read, 19 Aug. 2013

This is a good read. Its not written as most books on the subject are. Its like a friend explaining to you how something works, you find out at the end that the book started as advise to one of the authors friends.

It explains how everything works in a way that is easy to understand. The book covers buying older second hand equipment and how it is still as good or better than some of the newer stuff and that unless your a serious professional photographer most of the standard kit is more than good enough for your needs.

It explains how to compose a good photo and how this is more important than having an expensive camera (obvious when you think about it)

I would recommend anyone getting into photography reads it, and at £2.69 it really is on a budget.

Lime in Building: A Practical Guide
Lime in Building: A Practical Guide
by Jane Schofield
Edition: Paperback

5.0 out of 5 stars Good introduction to working with Lime, 25 May 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This is a good introduction to the subject of lime. It does however only cover the use of non hydraulic lime (more traditional lime)

It is very easy to read, short and to the point. It is a booklet not a book. If you want an indepth book on the subject there are other more expensive titles out there.

Anyone who works with "wet materials" will know that the majority of practical knowledge on applying products must be learnt by doing it once you have read up on the basics. This booklet will do just that.

They also sent me 2 x second class stamps as a refund on what they consider to be a expensive Amazon postage fees. Not something you see very often.

The Off-grid Energy Handbook

2.0 out of 5 stars Unfortunately a bit disapointing, 26 July 2010
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
By the title, the book suggests it is a "handbook" so you would expect it to go into more detail on how each technology works. Unfortunately it should be called "An introduction to off grid energy methods".

If you already have a bit of knowledge in renewables then this book has very little to give, although the very basic plans on how to make a solar thermal panel did really get my mind thinking.

So if you know nothing then you will find this book great, otherwise don't get you hopes up. Sorry.

Bee Keeping: Inspiration and Practical Advice for Would-be Smallholders (Country Living) (Countryside)
Bee Keeping: Inspiration and Practical Advice for Would-be Smallholders (Country Living) (Countryside)
by Andrew Davies
Edition: Hardcover
Price: £6.99

5.0 out of 5 stars Good introduction to bee keeping, 26 July 2010

This book is a really good introduction to bee keeping, not too indepth and perfecto for anyone thinking about bee's. Should you get some (I will) then more books will be necessary, but this will get you mind going and let you make your mind up with out breaking the bank.
