Ask a Policeman
Ask a Policeman
Price: £3.99

1.0 out of 5 stars Too many cooks - or too many detectives, 10 Aug 2014
This review is from: Ask a Policeman (Kindle Edition)
Bought this mainly because of the Agatha Christie connection, but it was disappointingly tedious. Too many detectives and their theories led to weak and tedious accounts of the cime, pity Agatha sat this one out, she might have redeemed it somewhat.

4.0 out of 5 stars Don't judge a book by its cover, or the first few paragraphs, 25 Feb 2014

Lively and amusing Scottish village romp with shades of the Vicar of Dibley committee. For a free book it's great, kept my interest throughout. Although it is free, the cover is awful, I had it sat on my kindle for months before I got round to reading it.

An interesting quick read, and at a great price. Chickenfeed is also a good story. Big fan of Minette Walters.

I have read a couple of John Eider's Inspector Rase books now and find them really good reads. I agree with another reviewer that the grammar is a little odd occasionally but I assume that Eider is perhaps not a native English speaker and so just accept and ignore it.

Hope there will be many more.
